A 3D laser scanner is a high-speed measurement device that captures data at the rate of tens of thousands of points per second over a full 360° range around a machine in just one second. The laser light travels back and forth between the scanner and the object without directly touching it, allowing the distance to be calculated and obtaining three-dimensional coordinate values based on the angle and distance of the emitted light. The data collected after measurement can be used to create 2D CAD drawings and 3D models tailored to the customer's needs.
