[Case Study] Development of Semiconductor Sheets
Challenging new fields beyond just electrical insulation materials! We will introduce a case study on the development of semiconductor sheets.
Okabe Maika Industrial Co., Ltd. has a long-standing track record as a manufacturer of electrical insulators, but has taken on new challenges in different fields to improve the product characteristics of our generator manufacturer customers. Generators have a large internal potential difference, and if there are any defects (voids), various discharges can occur, leading to insulation degradation. To solve this problem, we developed a sheet with "semiconductive" properties. This sheet is designed to easily fill the gaps in the complex shapes of generator coils by making the adhesive semi-cured to improve its fluidity. This semiconductive sheet is a conductive material that can change shape and harden even in complex geometries, making it suitable for various applications beyond just generators. [Case Study] ■ Background - Taking on new challenges to improve the product characteristics of our customers. ■ Issues - Generators have a large internal potential difference, and if there are any defects (voids), various discharges can occur, leading to insulation degradation. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
