The ISO 5.5F capture thrust air bearing spindle from PI is ideal for applications requiring high speed and ultra-high precision. It features a spindle through for vacuum chucks, two encoders, and a direct drive with a brushless DC motor integrated into the spindle. By adopting PI's unique groove compensation method, it achieves astonishing high rigidity, high load capacity, and low air consumption, while efficiently cooling the journal section of the air bearing and the motor stator through three independent cooling jackets, allowing for thermal expansion of the spindle to be minimized to zero across the entire range up to a maximum speed of 10,000 min^-1. *For more details, please contact us or refer to the catalog.
