Compression spring, phosphor bronze wire C5191 Φ0.23, return spring.

By lowering the spring constant, it becomes easier to manage the load at the specified height.

The material is "phosphor bronze wire C5191W," and the wire diameter is Φ0.23. This is a return spring used in solenoid valves. "Phosphor bronze wire C5191" has a lower elastic modulus compared to other spring materials like piano wire, which allows for a lower spring constant. A lower spring constant helps to reduce load fluctuations caused by variations in free length, making it easier to manage the load at the specified height. After spring forming, heat treatment is applied. Heat treatment increases the hardness of phosphor bronze wire and enhances its spring properties (this is called low-temperature annealing hardening). If you have any issues with springs, please feel free to consult us. Our technical staff will respond carefully. Torsion spring design - prototyping - moment calculation - opening and closing spring

We will quantify the balance of "just the right feeling" in the form of a moment.

This is a torsion coil spring designed and prototyped by our company in response to the customer's request. The purpose is to assist the opening and closing of a certain product's door using the spring's force. To quantify the appropriate force for opening and closing it "just right," we visited the site several times. Given the need for corrosion resistance and a certain level of heat resistance, we chose the material as "spring stainless steel wire SUS304-WPB." The designed spring can be realized in a short delivery time. (This product was also delivered in about a week.) The ability to provide prototypes with a short lead time is one of the advantages we offer. Our company handles the design and prototyping of torsion springs. If you provide us with the general conditions, we will propose the optimal specifications. It is also fine if you do not have any drawings. Our technical staff will respond carefully, so please feel free to consult with us. Corner spring manufacturing, design - prototype corner wire springs

When a large force is required in a limited space, corner springs using angle steel are effective.

We manufacture and design corner springs using square wire, from design to prototyping. When a large force is required in a limited space with restricted inner/outer diameters, corner springs made from square wire are effective. The advantage of using square wire is that it allows for a larger cross-sectional area of the material compared to round wire. (The larger the cross-sectional area, the greater the force the spring can exert.) The materials are generally custom-made, but we have a certain amount of stock available in-house. If we have materials on hand that approximate the required dimensions, we can quickly produce prototypes and other items. We can accommodate both iron-based spring materials (SWP-A, SW-C) and stainless steel spring materials (SUS304-WPB). If you have any issues with springs, please feel free to consult us. Our technical staff will respond carefully. Tsurugaoka Spring Co., Ltd. Technical Contact: Ujiie Phone: 0235-22-0407 FAX: 0235-22-0546 Email: web@tohj.com

Twisted spring lever return spring SWP-AΦ2.6

For tension springs with hook processing and torsion springs with arm bending processing, we recommend using type A (SWP-A) for better workability.

The material used is "Piano Wire Type A (SWP-A)." There are mainly "Type A" and "Type B" piano wires, but for tension springs with hook processing or torsion springs with arm bending processing, we recommend using Type A (SWP-A) for better workability. After spring forming, heat treatment is performed, and trivalent chromate plating is applied as a rust prevention treatment. If you have any issues with springs, please feel free to consult us. Our technical staff will respond carefully. Technical contact: Ujiie Phone: 0235-22-0407 FAX: 0235-22-0546 Email: web@tohj.com Tsuruga Spring Co., Ltd. for springs. We also support web meetings.

Tension Spring SWP-AΦ1.0

By leaving a gap and performing the winding process, the initial tension becomes zero.

The material used is "Piano Wire Type A, SWP-A." The body part is intentionally wound with gaps. This aims to eliminate the effects of initial tension and stabilize the load. If the spring body is wound without gaps, a force arises that causes the wires to try to adhere to each other, known as initial tension. Initial tension cannot avoid a certain degree of variation, which also affects load variation. By creating gaps in the body, as in this spring, the initial tension becomes zero. Although winding with gaps introduces variation in free length, if the amount of deflection that absorbs this variation can be secured, it is a method that allows for precise load management. If you have any issues with springs, please feel free to consult us. Our technical staff will respond carefully. Tension Spring SWP-AΦ2.3 Clutch Spring

Spring forming using a multi-forming machine, including hook processing.

The material used is "Piano Wire Type A, SWP-A." Including hook processing, the springs are formed using a multi-forming machine. The hook shape of this spring is a "U hook." It is a representative hook shape alongside the "reverse round hook" and "round hook." Special care is taken in processing the hook part of tension springs. Stress (load) tends to concentrate on the hook part, and even a slight scratch can lead to problems such as breakage or deformation. To prevent the occurrence and outflow of scratches, we perform double checks using tool wrapping and magnifying glasses. The rust prevention treatment consists of trivalent black chromate plating plus hydrogen embrittlement removal. If you have any issues with "springs," please feel free to consult us. Design and selection of tension springs.

If you are unsure about which specifications of tension springs to choose, please leave it to us.

The load calculation for tension springs is somewhat complex, involving an unfamiliar force called "initial tension." Additionally, lifespan calculations differ from those for compression springs, as they must also consider the durability of the hook section, making this process complex as well. If you have any concerns, please feel free to consult with us. If you provide us with general conditions, we will design the tension spring for you. Of course, if there are any issues with the tension spring you are currently using, we can also redesign it for you. If you are unsure about which specifications to choose for a tension spring, you can leave it to us. It's okay if you don't have any drawings. Our technical staff will respond carefully, so please feel free to consult with us. Compression spring SUS316-WPAΦ0.25 plunger spring

The variation in load is almost proportional to the variation in free length, so free length control with sensors is effective.

This is a spring used in the plunger reciprocating mechanism of a solenoid valve. The material used is "spring stainless steel wire SUS316-WPA." It has superior corrosion resistance compared to the general-purpose spring material SUS304-WPB and is a non-magnetic material. This spring is processed through coiling while inspecting and adjusting the free length with a sensor called "kenchouki" to suppress variations in the mounting load. The variation in the mounting load is almost proportional to the variation in the free length, making control with the same sensor effective. If you have any issues with springs, please feel free to consult us. Our technical staff will respond carefully. Phone: 0235-22-0407 Technical Contact: Ujiie Tsuruga Spring Co., Ltd. Twisted spring SUS316-WPAΦ0.14 return spring

The small spring is used to measure and manage dimensions and angles with a projector.

The material used is "spring stainless steel wire SUS316-WPA." The common spring material SUS is "SUS304-WPB," but when greater corrosion resistance is required or low magnetism is desired, "SUS316-WPA" is used. This spring is formed using a multi-forming machine. The wire diameter is Φ0.14mm, and since it is a very small spring, dimensions and angles are measured and managed using a projector instead of calipers. If you have any issues with springs, please feel free to consult us. Our technical staff will respond carefully. Tsurugaoka Spring Co., Ltd. Compression spring SWP-AΦ5.0 valve spring

Shot peening improves the durability of springs.

The material used is "Piano Wire Type A, SWP-A." The wire thickness is Φ5.0. After forming the spring with a heart gold type winding machine, it undergoes heat treatment (low-temperature annealing) and shot peening. Shot peening is a process that projects countless small steel balls onto the surface of the spring. This treatment improves durability by modifying the surface of the material. Using a spring load testing machine, we output data on the mounting load, maximum load, and spring constant, and we will provide an inspection report upon delivery. If you have any issues with springs, please feel free to consult us. Our technical staff will respond carefully. Tsuruoka Spring Co., Ltd. Deformation and sagging of springs: Causes and countermeasures.

Introducing the causes and countermeasures for deformation and wear of springs in spring troubles!

"Settle" refers to the phenomenon where the material of a spring undergoes plastic deformation during use, resulting in a change in the dimensions of the spring, primarily caused by insufficient material strength. The adequacy of the material's strength can be calculated based on the spring's usage conditions. Countermeasures for "settle" involve changing the material to one with higher durability, increasing the wire diameter, and other specification modifications. In doing so, care is taken to select specifications that do not alter the spring's force characteristics (spring constant or load), but if there are space constraints for the spring, discussions with the customer will be necessary. If there are no issues with the strength calculations, potential causes of "settle" may include: 1) improper heat treatment after spring formation, or 2) use in an environment exceeding the heat resistance temperature. Our company addresses spring-related troubles. If you send us the deformed item, we will verify its strength and durability and propose improvement measures. Our technical staff will respond carefully, so please feel free to consult us. Tsurugaoka Spring Co., Ltd.
