This is a Ni-W-P plating performed using an electroless plating method. (It is a ternary alloy of nickel, tungsten, and phosphorus.) Iron, black dyeing <screw> metal surface treatment

It blackens the steel and forms a 1μ oxide film on the surface to prevent rust. It also aims to enhance aesthetics (visual beauty).

The chemical reaction of black dyeing forms a 1μ oxide coating on the surface of steel products, enhancing their rust resistance. Since painting is a top coat, it causes dimensional changes, but black dyeing penetrates the item itself, resulting in minimal changes to the original dimensions, making it suitable for items that require dimensional accuracy. It improves rust prevention (rust stopping) and aesthetics (visual beauty) of iron and steel products, and also reduces light reflection.
