[Case Study] Carbon Fiber Cutting Blade <Achieving Cost Reduction with Stable Machine Operation>
After about a year of trial and error and repeated testing, we achieved results that are more than three times our initial target in terms of endurance time.
Here is an introduction to a case study of a major textile factory that introduced KAI's "carbon fiber cutting blade." In the manufacturing process of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), we developed a blade to finely cut carbon fibers as thin as human hair. Our goal was to extend the durability and prevent fiber remnants, and after about a year of trial and error and extensive testing, we achieved results that exceeded our initial durability target by more than three times. With stable machine operation now possible, we were able to realize cost reductions, which greatly satisfied our client. [Case Study] ■ Implementing Company: Major Textile Factory ■ Customer's Challenges - The blades previously used had a short durability. - There was variability in blade edge quality, leading to instability in the cutting process. *For more details, please refer to the related links or PDF materials, or feel free to contact us.
