Kentech's shear blades not only undergo conventional hardening but also feature a unique ceramic coating, demonstrating exceptional cutting performance on stainless steel and high-tensile (high-strength steel) materials. The ceramic coating utilizes vanadium carbide (VC). The VC coating, which has the same cubic crystal structure as diamond, boasts a high hardness of HV3000. FMC casting creates a foam model that is the same shape as the product using expanded polystyrene, and the product is formed by embedding this foam model in a sand mold and replacing it with molten metal. This process minimizes the occurrence of burrs and enables the production of complex and high-precision products. For small lots, cost reduction is possible compared to wooden mold methods. Cost reduction is also achievable with original (steel substitute) materials.
