The customer was having trouble because the products to be packaged were large and long, which meant that the cardboard boxes also had to be large, and the preparation work before packaging was taking a lot of time. In response, our company proposed a cardboard case that improves work efficiency by matching the shape of the product, allowing for the assembly of the cardboard and product packaging to be done simultaneously. By changing the process so that the cardboard case is completed at the same time as the packaging, we were able to achieve "reduction in packaging time" and "cost reduction of cardboard cases." In the most commonly used A-style case, it is essential to secure the bottom with tape or glue before the packing process, as everything would fall out without a bottom. If you are engaged in a job that involves packing a large number of boxes daily, the task of securing the bottom alone can be a significant burden. To alleviate this task, there are bottom processing methods known as bottom lock and American lock. The completed boxes can be secured without the use of tape or glue, greatly improving the efficiency of the packing process. Our customers who are involved in large-scale packing are very pleased with this. [Proposal Example] Reducing Processing Load for Ultra-Compact Cases to Shorten Delivery Time and Cut Costs

Improved productivity with a model suited for mechanization and high-speed operation! A case where the delivery time was shortened by one day.

We would like to introduce a case where we solved the challenge of "wanting to shorten the delivery time for ultra-small cases" through our proposal. Boxes that are too small are often made by hand, which takes a lot of time for manufacturing. The semi-A type requires all individual tasks such as cutting the cardboard sheets to size, making incisions, and gluing to be done manually, which is time-consuming. To address this, we manufactured the semi-A type box as an A type case using a machine, with the body parts aligned to a larger size, and then cut the finished product in the middle. The A type is a format suited for mechanization and high-speed production, resulting in a productivity improvement that is incomparable. [Overview] ■ Challenge - Boxes that are too small are often made by hand, leading to longer manufacturing times. - All individual tasks were performed manually. ■ Result - By manufacturing as an A type case and cutting in the middle, we created a semi-A type box. - The cardboard sheets, now double the size, can be directly fed into the machine without the need for cutting. - Delivery time was shortened by one day. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Proposal Example] From Styrofoam Packaging to Cardboard Cases

Introducing a case where a change was proposed from polystyrene packaging specifications to cardboard packaging specifications!

Currently, we are using expanded polystyrene for packaging, but we are struggling to secure inventory space. We received a consultation regarding whether there is a good method to reduce inventory space. We proposed changing the packaging specification from expanded polystyrene to cardboard. With the current expanded polystyrene packaging, we have to store a large amount of finished expanded polystyrene, which takes up a tremendous amount of space. However, by suggesting the features of cardboard packaging (foldability), we were able to manage it in a flat manner, allowing for more efficient use of space. When the products placed in the cardboard boxes are heavy, the task of lifting and packaging them becomes very labor-intensive, and customers were struggling with the risk of back pain. In response, our company switched to a "shape that wraps around the product" cardboard box. Proposal for improvement at the customer's site! The cardboard stock will be reduced to one type per product, resulting in decreased inventory.

We would like to introduce a case that responds to the request from Company A, which is engaged in wholesale and mail order of health foods. Depending on the number of products shipped, we used three types of cardboard boxes: a small box for 2 items, a medium box for 4 items, and a large box for 6 items. Therefore, we proposed a common case. We added two folds to the body of the cardboard, allowing the height of the box to be adjusted in three stages. The inventory of cardboard boxes was reduced to just one type per product, leading to a decrease in stock. Standardizing three types of cases into one! A case study that solved product management and inventory space issues.

We would like to introduce a case study that addresses the challenge of wanting to reduce the number of types of cardboard boxes and decrease inventory space. Currently, there are three types of cases (large 10-pack, medium 16-pack, small 36-pack) within the series products that have the same box dimensions but slightly different printing surfaces, and orders were placed uniformly for each type. However, we faced issues with product management and inventory space. By using printed check items on a single type of case, we were able to standardize and simplify case management for the three types. We would like to introduce a case study that addresses the issue of wanting to change the shape of cardboard boxes. Currently, we are using B-type (wire-stopped) cases, which require a large storage space for cardboard box inventory. Additionally, the current joining method using wire is not environmentally friendly, and we received inquiries about whether it was possible to change the shape of the cardboard. By switching to a die-cut box that does not use wire, we were able to deliver it in a single sheet state.
