Oban Co., Ltd. is a manufacturer of sponge, rubber, and plastic processing. We would like to introduce examples of processing foam materials for a wide variety of applications. We received a request from Muramura LLC for the processing of "drone cases and cushioning materials." They were having trouble transporting their drones and wanted a dedicated case that could also store the remote controls and iPads together. First, we took measurements, and then we proceeded with the design and drafting of the plans. We designed it to be user-friendly while maintaining strength. Considering costs, we minimized the amount of cushioning material used and designed it to be supported at key points. This is an introduction to a case study where we created an original case that can store the drone currently in use, along with accessories such as the remote control and cables. The process begins with taking measurements. After measuring, we proceed to design and create the drawings. In this case, we only listened to the customer's requests and took care of the design ourselves, ensuring it was easy to use while maintaining strength. Since we needed to store two drones in one plastic case, we used hard urethane for the bottom plate and soft urethane for the top. As per the customer's wishes, we also secured a space for the accessories.
