Shine's abrasion-resistant and flexible polyurea coating.

We will introduce polyurea coating technology for engineers.

"Polyurea coating" refers to a processing method that forms a film by spraying polyurea resin onto an object. Polyurea resin is a compound primarily composed of urea bonds, generated through the chemical reaction between isocyanates and polyamines. *************Features of Polyurea Coating************* 1) Quick drying The time required for curing (touch dry) after spraying is just a few seconds. 2) Can be applied to a wide range of objects Since it does not require heat treatment, it can be applied to materials with low heat resistance. It is compatible with metals, resins, engineering plastics, ceramics, glass, wood, rubber, concrete, etc. 3) Excellent chemical resistance It can be used under acidic and alkaline conditions. 4) The coating has a good balance of strength and elongation. It is highly impact-resistant and flexible, making it less prone to cracking.

Shine Craft【Functional Coating, Wear-Resistant 'Cerarmor'】

Ceramic coating provides wear resistance, heat resistance, and release properties. *There is also a corrosion-resistant option called "Blue Armor."

"Serra Armor" is a coating that imparts properties such as abrasion resistance, heat resistance, and water repellency to materials. It has release and non-stick properties comparable to those of fluorine, and can be applied to a wide range of materials including resin, engineering plastics, glass, and wood. It is also suitable as an alternative to fluoropolymer coatings. 【Features of Serra Armor】 ■ Fired at low temperatures from room temperature to 200°C ■ Can be processed onto non-metal resin products and more ■ Heat resistance is over 100°C higher than fluoropolymer films ■ Release and water repellency performance is almost equivalent to fluoropolymer films ■ Pencil hardness of 9H! High durability and long lifespan ■ Proven track record of doubling the lifespan of mold release properties ★ For those seeking fluorine processing, "Blue Armor" is recommended! Please refer to "Basic Information" for detailed features. ◆ Regarding Inquiries ◆ When making an inquiry, it would be smooth if you could provide the following information: 1. Properties of the substrate to be coated (material, shape, size, etc.) 2. Purpose of coating (e.g., non-stick, chemical resistance, slip properties, etc.) 3. Usage conditions (e.g., temperature, chemicals, wear conditions, etc.) * If possible, providing drawings would be helpful for estimating and calculations.

Polyurea Coating for Civil Engineering and Construction Materials [Shine Kogei]

It provides wear resistance and impact resistance to civil engineering and construction materials.

Shine Kogei handles contract processing of polyurea coatings. "Polyurea coating" refers to a processing method that forms a film by spraying polyurea resin onto the target object. Polyurea resin is a compound primarily composed of urea bonds, generated by the chemical reaction between isocyanates and polyamines. Polyurea coatings possess extremely high abrasion resistance and impact resistance. For civil engineering and construction materials used under harsh conditions, the following examples of polyurea applications can be envisioned: 1) Providing abrasion resistance to resin pipes and sheets exposed to the outside ⇒ Protects the substrate from rainwater and sediment. It also has a function to protect against degradation from ultraviolet rays. 2) Providing abrasion resistance to materials that heavy machinery and construction equipment pass over ⇒ Even when a caterpillar (continuous track) passes over the polyurea coating, the film endures the load. It also has a slip resistance effect, contributing to increased safety.

Ceramic Coating for Industrial Rolls [Shine Craft]

Non-stick and slippery properties provided by ceramic coating "Sera Armor".

Shine Kogei's "Cera Armor" is a functional coating that adds value to the base material by providing release properties and wear resistance. It possesses physical properties superior to fluororesins and can form a high-hardness ceramic coating on resins, engineering plastics, glass, wood, and other materials that could not be treated with fluororesins. Cera Armor is also adopted for rolls that struggle with material adhesion. Thanks to Cera Armor's excellent release properties, it prevents adhesion to the surfaces of rolls used for resins, films, foils, adhesives, and more. It also contributes to reducing manufacturing time and labor in production lines. Cera Armor can be applied to various metals, including SUS, aluminum, and SS.

Shine Craft's thermal spray coating

Providing IH compatibility with Shine Kogei's thermal spraying.

Thermal spraying is a coating technology that involves melting and accelerating coating materials at high temperatures, causing them to collide with and layer onto the surface of the target object. The characteristics of thermal spraying are as follows: 1) Wide range of substrates … It can be applied to a variety of materials, including metals, plastics, and ceramics. 2) Many options for spray materials … Metals (oxides, carbides), alloys, cermets, etc., can be selected according to the purpose. 3) Partial treatment is possible… It can accommodate masking. 4) Minimal thermal impact on the substrate. 5) On-site application is possible. 【Thermal spraying enables induction heating (IH)】 By thermal spraying nickel or iron materials, it is possible to impart IH compatibility to materials that typically do not respond to IH. For example, by thermal spraying the inner surface of a clay pot, it becomes possible to cook using an IH stove.

Shine Craft's 【Polyurea Coating Film Machining】

Polyurea coatings can be post-processed.

Since polyurea coating is applied through spray painting, the surface condition of the painted area becomes the final finish. However, due to the thickness and strength of the film, it is also possible to perform machining in subsequent processes. Thickness adjustments through flat grinding or drilling can also be done. The image shows a sample that has been flat ground after painting (the cream-colored area on the surface is the polyurea film). Purpose: to achieve uniform film thickness.
