There is a growing demand for more streamlined hardware systems for processing AS5643 data streams used for defense purposes. In particular, advanced error insertion capabilities, which cannot be achieved with commercial link layer implementations, are required for simulation purposes. FireTrac is designed to natively support AS5643 (not just as an add-on protocol). In addition to standard IEEE1394 functionality, FireTrac is designed to provide hardware-level support for SAE AS5643, particularly alleviating the burden on the host processor for tasks such as packet encapsulation, data extraction, and receive/transmit STOF offsets. Importantly, FireTrac is highly accurate as it fully processes AS5643 transmission timing in hardware. It is compatible with the existing MIL-STD-1553B, allowing communication without mutual interference, and a separate 100Mbps communication channel is secured. It is suitable for programs aimed at enhancing the capabilities of existing aircraft. Adoption is increasing in fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft in the U.S. and Europe. The HSDC&HRDC series is a compact tracking synchro/resolver digital converter equipped with programmable resolution, 8/16-bit data bus control, continuous built-in self-test reporting, and a forced angle test mode, used for functional verification by command in military and industrial applications. Models are available with low-cost differential inputs or internal transformer-isolated inputs for military and the most demanding industrial applications. External signal conditioning, critical dynamics, front-end components, and circuits are not required. The DSL/DRL series is a digital synchro and digital resolver (AC sine/cosine) converter designed for military and industrial control applications, featuring high reliability, compact size, slim profile, and low cost. It accepts natural binary angle data of 16, 14, 12, or 10 bits (unsigned integers) and converts it into a three-wire synchro or four-wire resolver data format with up to 2 arc minutes of accuracy. All of these synchro and resolver converters feature virtually indestructible short-circuit resistant outputs, overvoltage and transient protection, internal heat sinks, current limiting, and automatic thermal cutoff. Complete transformer isolation is provided for all reference inputs and signal outputs, eliminating ground loops and different potentials, ensuring that high-voltage transients do not affect the host systems in which they are employed.
[Japanese Technical Document Giveaway] Explanation of TSN (Time Sensitive Networking) for Defense Applications
Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) is a standard technology that provides time-sensitive messaging over standard Ethernet, defined in the IEEE 802.1Q specification, and holds innovative potential for the communication backbone in next-generation military embedded systems. Before this specification was introduced, standard Ethernet did not have clear functions at Layer 2, so non-standard Ethernet technologies were used to achieve time-sensitive communication. With TSN, it becomes possible to transmit time-critical application data traffic over Ethernet with bridge connections shared among various applications with different Quality of Service (QoS) requirements. TSN enables guaranteed data transmission with limited low latency, low latency variation, and extremely low data loss. Therefore, it can meet many requirements for military applications based on the Data Distribution Service (DDS) standard.
North Atlantic Corporation 4010 series compatible synchro/resolver to linear DC converter
The TSLD/TRLD converter uses an internal solid-state Type II servo loop to continuously convert rotary shaft input into a precise (real-time) linear DC voltage (or 4-20mA current) that directly corresponds to the position of the input shaft. The internal Type II servo loop provides both dynamic, lag-free response (high speed) and clear, ultra-stable output as it approaches zero speed input or at zero speed input. The converter naturally maintains a maximum ripple of 5 millivolts (DC output), so filtering is neither adopted nor required. Therefore, it provides a continuous clean and jitter-free output suitable for use in many variable speed applications. Through ratiometric conversion, synchro/resolver sensors can operate at temperatures ranging from -20 to +125°C without degradation of output.

Introducing a case study on the development of power supply products that achieve small lot production, high performance, and low cost!
We would like to introduce three custom case studies of power supply products we have developed. The first case involves a customer who faced challenges with minimum order quantities (MOQ). We proposed a set of a DC-DC converter and an AC adapter, utilizing local manufacturers to accommodate small lot production. The second case is about an alternative product for a discontinued nickel-metal hydride battery charger. We collaborated with a specialized manufacturer in China to adjust the firmware and adopt dedicated ICs, meeting performance, cost, and MOQ requirements. The third case involved a request for performance improvement on an existing automotive DC-DC converter. By reviewing all processes from design to procurement and production, we achieved high quality while keeping costs down.
