"Knock Not Needed!" is an information display device that allows users to easily check the usage status of facilities such as restrooms. This system is built by combining devices equipped with EnOcean wireless modules that utilize energy harvesting (environmental power generation) technology.
Since it transmits signals through power generation, the transmitting devices (key sensors, motion sensors, magnetic sensors, etc.) do not require batteries or wiring, allowing for easy retrofitting in currently used facilities with minimal construction.
We propose a smart display method for usage status in facilities used by a large number of people, not only restrooms but also conference rooms, smoking rooms, nursing rooms, and fitting rooms.
