[Construction Example 7] Detached House Road Surface Snow Melting (Electric Heater Type, Exposed Method)

We have installed snow-melting mats that can be applied only in necessary areas, ensuring safety!

We would like to introduce a case study of road surface snow melting (electric heater type, exposed method) in a detached house. In a residence of an elderly woman living alone, the approach from the entrance to the front road was about 8 meters long and was originally equipped with a water sprinkling snow melting system. However, due to the slope, the snow did not melt uniformly. One winter, after she slipped and fractured her bone on the frozen entrance, she consulted us about wanting "something that melts reliably, not just water." We installed a snow melting mat that can be added only in necessary areas, ensuring her safety. 【Case Overview】 ■ Tokamachi City, Niigata Prefecture ■ Heater mat ■ 8m² *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Road Surface Snow Melting Electric Heater Built-in Rubber Mat 'Mr. S from Ojiya City'

Properly responding to heavy snow! Introducing customer feedback on the wall-mounted gas heat source and electric heater built-in rubber mat used for snow melting.

Mr. S, whose husband was on a long-term business trip outside the prefecture, was worried about snow removal in the morning and evening, as his wife works. Ojiya City Gas offers a snow melting rate of 83 yen/m3N, which is relatively inexpensive compared to other regions, so we used a wall-mounted gas heating source for snow melting on the approach. To avoid dismantling and restoring the tiles on the stairs, we installed electric heater-equipped rubber mats (which can be removed during snow-free periods) and operated them simultaneously based on signals from a snow sensor. We are well-equipped to handle heavy snowfall, and we received feedback saying, "One of my worries while my husband is on a business trip has been reduced." [Overview] ■ Customer: Mr. S from Ojiya City ■ Heating Source: Gas heating source 10m2 + stairs *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Video Now Available] Snow Melting Test Status at a Certain Unmanned Management Facility

Electric heater snow melting mat type

We carried out snow melting equipment construction for unmanned management facilities in Niigata Prefecture. The work targeted vehicle parking spaces, internal work pathways, and stair areas. Due to the difficulty of regular fuel supply at unmanned facilities, the construction involved the installation of snow melting mats with built-in electric heaters. The total output of the snow melting mats is 15.6 kW (single-phase 200V specification, with 100V specification in some areas). The on/off control is based on the amount of snowfall detected by a laser light sensor, activating when the outside temperature is below 2°C and the snowfall exceeds 5 cm, and deactivating when it decreases to below 3 cm. With network connectivity, remote monitoring and control from outside are possible, and even if the sensor malfunctions, it can be forcibly activated or deactivated. During trial operation adjustments, we recorded the warming situation from above, and the overall warming condition was found to be good.

Electric snow melting mat "Soheeter" for urban snow.

In recent years, as the aging population increases, what if you injure your shoulders or back while shoveling snow...? There is a great product that can alleviate such concerns!

The electric snow melting mat "Soheater" is manufactured in Hokkaido by a traditional company that once supplied rubber products to the Yubari coal mine, and it is sold by Hokueki Yusetsu. With a powerful snow melting output of 300W per square meter, it has a sufficient lifespan of over 10 years even when left outdoors, and it is easy to use—just plug it into an outdoor 100V outlet to melt the snow. The standard thickness mat for stairs and sidewalks is only 9mm thick, making it easy to store by stacking or rolling it up during the off-season. For vehicle traffic areas, such as in front of garages, we can custom-make a thicker version at 13mm with reinforced materials. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to inquire.

[Case 15] Communication Facility Roof and Road Surface Snow Melting (Electric Heater Type, Exposed Method)

Mats have been laid in the vehicle access area and worker passageway! This significantly reduces snow removal labor.

We would like to introduce a case study of roof and pavement snow melting (electric heater type, exposed method) in communication facilities. To protect the aluminum alloy housing of an unmanned exchange station from snow load, electric heater mats for snow prevention were installed around the roof perimeter. Mats were also laid in the vehicle access area and worker pathways, significantly reducing snow removal labor. In unmanned facilities and remote locations, electric heating (either heaters or heat pumps) is more suitable than boiler heat sources, which carry the risk of running out of fuel. [Case Overview] ■ Niigata Prefecture, Shibata City ■ Heater Mats ■ 52m2 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Construction Example 17] General Hospital Roof Snow Melting (Electric Heater Type, Exposed Method)

A design that allows for module-level replacement in case of future damage! It has enhanced the system's robustness.

We would like to introduce a case study of roof snow melting (electric heater type, exposed method) installation. When constructing a new radiation therapy building on the grounds of a general hospital, we planned measures against snow eaves that were a concern for the flat roof perimeter. As a countermeasure against scattering due to strong winds, we adhered a special rubber-based adhesive to the parapet cap surface, and on the flat roof surface, we installed it in a linked manner using brackets, creating a beaded layout. Since the mat will be installed year-round on the rooftop, we adopted high weather-resistant products and designed it to allow for module-level replacement in case of future damage, enhancing the system's robustness. 【Case Overview】 ■ Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture ■ Heater mat ■ 77m² *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
