World's First Holographic Fluorescence Microscope for Cell Observation

Correlation comparison using the overlay of refractive index images and fluorescence images, rapid measurement in just a few seconds.

The 3D Cell Explorer-fluo, a holographic and fluorescence microscope for cell observation, is an innovative device that combines 3D refractive index imaging and 2D fluorescence imaging using holography and tomography technologies. It allows for rapid and easy observation of the internal structures and organelle distributions of cells and tissues. By overlaying fluorescence images of various cellular organelles and cell membranes that have been fluorescently labeled with refractive index images, it is possible to calibrate the digital staining to match the staining images of the fluorescent labels. By applying this calibrated digital staining to the 3D refractive index image, the 2D fluorescence images can be extended into 3D images, visualizing the three-dimensional distribution. This calibration process allows for a correlation between fluorescence staining and digital staining, enabling compatibility with unstained samples. The constructed 3D images can be enlarged, reduced, rotated, and displayed in cross-sections, allowing for comprehensive observation of the interior of cells from various perspectives.

Multi-Focus Raman Microscope Phalanx-R

Raman imaging captures the state of chemical reactions and the distribution of molecules inside cells in an "instant," like taking a photograph.

The multi-focal Raman microscope Phalanx-R is the world's first Raman microscope that can capture 2D Raman images "in an instant," just like taking a photograph. It enables real-time imaging of dynamic chemical reactions, which was previously impossible, and allows for high-speed observation of molecular distribution and changes within cells while minimizing light damage to the samples.

3D Cell Explorer Holographic Microscope for Cell Observation

An innovative cell observation method that overturns conventional wisdom: label-free 2D, 3D, and 4D imaging.

In general bioimaging, 3D images are obtained by continuously measuring 2D images in the depth direction. However, this product, the "Holographic Microscope for Cell Observation 3D Cell Explorer," utilizes holography and tomography technologies to measure the differences in refraction within cells in three dimensions with a single measurement, producing high-resolution digital images on the nanometer scale that exceed the diffraction limit of light almost instantaneously. High-resolution images can be captured in just a few seconds, and by digitally staining them, it allows for comprehensive observation of the cell interior from various perspectives. The laser light used is a weak laser that does not impact the cells, enabling non-invasive measurements to observe the cells in their natural state. Once powered on, it starts up immediately, and measurements can begin right away. Sample preparation, staining labels using expensive reagents, and the configuration of the optical system are all performed automatically, eliminating the need for complex adjustments. Additionally, user-friendly software is provided, allowing for intuitive operation despite its high functionality, making it easy to use.
