In recent years, plaster has begun to attract attention as a building material with the ability to adsorb and decompose "formaldehyde," which is considered a major cause of chemical sensitivity. After application, plaster dries from the surface and gradually hardens into a lump of lime, taking a long time to cure (or mineralize) while absorbing carbon dioxide from the air.
