Simulation of a check valve using Simerics MP+.

Introducing a simulation of a check valve (non-return valve) as an example of fluid analysis.

CFD, which allows for the shortening of product development periods, reduction of prototype costs, and acquisition of detailed data that is difficult to measure through experiments. In this article, we will introduce application examples that can be useful for product development using Simerics' CAE/CFD software. Check valves (non-return valves) play an important role in preventing water hammer and regulating flow direction. Research and development are being conducted daily to enhance the durability of piping. However, this requires significant time and cost for prototyping and testing the valves. Additionally, even when performing CFD simulations, setting up the mesh deformation associated with the opening and closing of flow paths can be quite labor-intensive. With Simerics' CFD, high-performance template meshes are provided, and all the mesh deformation that occurs during computation is automated, allowing anyone to easily and quickly generate meshes. This is expected to significantly reduce labor and costs! There are many more reasons to use Simerics' CFD software. In this article, we will introduce application examples that can be useful for product development using Simerics' CAE/CFD software. Check valves (non-return valves) play an important role in preventing water hammer and regulating flow direction. Research and development are ongoing daily to enhance the durability of piping. However, a significant amount of cost and time must be spent on prototyping and testing the valves. Additionally, even when performing CFD simulations, setting up the mesh deformation associated with the opening and closing of flow paths can be quite cumbersome. With Simerics' CFD, high-performance template meshes are provided, and the movement and deformation of the computational mesh that occurs during calculations are fully automated, allowing anyone to easily and quickly generate meshes. This is expected to significantly reduce labor and costs! There are still many reasons to use Simerics' CFD software. You can find more details at the link below or feel free to contact us anytime!
