HELYX Open Source CFD Software for Corporate Use

OpenFOAM for a more comfortable experience. Reducing computation time and costs for optimization calculations and large-scale CFD calculations.

◆ Easy-to-use GUI for simple and smooth calculation setup ◆ Unlimited parallel processing and job numbers with a single license ◆ Enhanced and efficient CFD calculation processes through the use of coupled solvers and adjoint optimization solvers In recent years, there has been increasing attention on the use of open-source CFD solvers, represented by OpenFOAM, for business purposes aimed at reducing software license costs. Issues associated with using OpenFOAM in CFD operations include the solver's sensitivity to mesh quality affecting stability and poor operability due to the lack of a GUI. To address these issues and promote the business use of open-source CFD solvers, the UK company Engys has developed HELYX, an open-source CFD software for corporate use. For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

A new approach to open CFD.

OpenLabs environment providing a new approach to open CFD.

OpenLabs offers exceptional usability and can be described as a "dialogue system" with the basic CFD code. By using this system, you can access the routines of the basic CFD code (routine variables, all existing physical models, and parameters). With just a few lines of commands, you can modify or add transport equations, source terms, initial and boundary conditions, fluid properties, algebraic relations, thermal and transport properties. These commands are easy to understand and do not require knowledge of programming or code structure, making it accessible for anyone to use in developing new models. The underlying code of FINE/Open is a highly robust unstructured grid solver equipped with many models, including turbulence, multiphase flow, combustion, and radiation. These models are backed by a solid CFD foundation and possess high quality suitable for specialized applications. *You can download the English version of the catalog. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Case study of fluid analysis for a two-axis screw compressor.

Introduction to a fluid analysis simulation of a two-axis screw compressor using SimericsMP+ and SCORG, as a case study in thermal fluid analysis.

CFD allows for the shortening of product development periods, reduction of prototype costs, and acquisition of detailed data that is difficult to measure through experiments. In this article, we will introduce application examples that can be useful for product development using Simerics' CAE/CFD software. Two-axis screw compressors have applications in refrigeration and air conditioning-related fields, including air conditioners and refrigerators. In the design process, significant costs and time must be spent on prototyping and experiments. With Simerics' CFD, high-performance thermal fluid analysis can be processed quickly through large-scale parallel computing, yielding results easily and rapidly. Additionally, the cooling lubricants are analyzed using the VOF method, recreating conditions close to actual experiments. This is expected to lead to significant reductions in man-hours and costs! There are many more reasons to use Simerics' CFD software. Please check the link below or feel free to contact us!
