High corrosion-resistant stainless steels [TOKUSHU KINZOKU EXCEL CO., LTD.]

It is stainless steel with improved corrosion resistance, making it suitable for drawing applications.

This is a steel grade in which the nickel content of SUS 304, a representative austenitic stainless steel grade, is increased and molybdenum is added to further improve corrosion resistance. SUS304 with increased nickel and molybdenum addition= SUS316: Improved corrosion resistance (pitting corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, etc.) SUS316 with higher nickel, lower carbon = SUS316L ... + Improved intergranular corrosion resistance The "L" in SUS316L stands for low carbon. Highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel is also suitable for drawing applications because of its low carbon content and high nickel content, resulting in low hardness in the annealed state and less work hardening. Note that although non-magnetic in the solution heat-treated state, it becomes weakly magnetic after strong working. This grade of steel is difficult to obtain due to its relatively small distribution volume among thin stainless steels, but we also manufacture such materials with custom specifications. Martensitic stainless steel [TOKUSHU KINZOKU EXCEL CO., LTD.]

It is a stainless steel that can achieve very high strength and can have a wide range of mechanical properties by adjusting the tempering conditions.

Welding Material Trivia: Characteristics of Ferritic Stainless Steel

Magnetic! Welding material with the highest class of hardness among all stainless steel and heat-resistant steel.

"Ferritic stainless steel" has magnetic properties and requires caution against cold cracking during welding due to its susceptibility to weld cracking. Typically, preheating is necessary. In steel grades with reduced carbon and nickel, the susceptibility to cracking is low, and when using γ-type welding materials, preheating is not required (e.g., SUS410L). The heat-affected zone of the weld is hard and brittle, but post-treatment can restore toughness and ductility. The "EXEO-CR20" is a martensitic stainless steel that achieves both high hardness and high corrosion resistance through its unique component design and dissolution technology. In our in-house tests, we confirmed a high hardness of around 60 HRC and a tensile strength exceeding 2 GPa. Additionally, it has achieved wear resistance equivalent to SUS440C and corrosion resistance greater than SUS420J2. It also excels in fatigue strength and has excellent workability.
