A cushioning device equipped with springs, dampers, and bearing functions.
This is a multifunctional and versatile damping device that simultaneously incorporates three functions: spring function, damper function, and bearing function, based on a unique principle and structure. The structure consists of a metal inner shell, outer shell, and cylindrical rubber, with the inner and outer shells having a 45° displacement and cylindrical rubber pressed in. The spring characteristics are nonlinear, and since the cylindrical rubber operates by rolling while being compressed, it experiences minimal aging deformation and is strong against impact loads, exhibiting excellent durability.
**Features**
- **Spring Function:** It can support loads in all directions, including tension, compression, and shear. It can tolerate a twisting angle of up to ±30 degrees. The spring characteristics are nonlinear, with twisting stiffness increasing with the increase in load.
- **Damper Function:** The internal friction of the pressed cylindrical rubber is over 1000 times greater than that of metal (spring steel). Therefore, it enables amplitude reduction during resonance and early convergence of vibrations caused by impacts.
- **Bearing Function:** It can support high-frequency oscillatory motion while absorbing vibrations. In general bearings, repeated oscillatory motion within a specific angular range can lead to insufficient lubrication throughout, reducing durability. The Lostas suspension solves this issue.
