On the other hand, the inrush current during excitation is larger, so when replacing with the current transformer, there is a possibility that the overcurrent protection device on the primary side may malfunction. If the protection device on the primary side is the same as the rated current, the likelihood of malfunction becomes very high, so it is necessary to either adopt a product designed to suppress inrush current or increase the rated interrupting current value of the protection device.
