The TECHSPEC plate beam splitter for VIS & NIR, ideal for dual magnification imaging systems and low-power laser beam combining, uses N-BK7 glass as the substrate, achieving a thin plate thickness through polishing while also ensuring high surface accuracy of the substrate. A dielectric multilayer film is applied to the surface side of the substrate to achieve a specified R/T division, significantly reducing energy loss compared to metal films. Additionally, a multi-AR coating is applied to the backside to suppress the generation of unwanted ghost images and maximize throughput. A cube-type non-polarizing beam splitter for laser lines that can separate beams regardless of the incident polarization state.

The TECHSPEC cube-shaped unpolarized beam splitter for laser lines allows for the even division of light into two orthogonal directions, regardless of the incident polarization state. It employs a hybrid coating that combines metal and dielectric films for beam splitting, keeping the transmittance difference between s-polarized and p-polarized light below 3%. Designed for use with Nd:YAG and He-Ne lasers, it offers three coating options at 1064nm, 632nm, and 532nm. An AR coating is applied to the entrance and exit surfaces of the prism to enhance transmission efficiency, achieving a reflectance of less than 0.25% per surface. High-power laser plate beam splitter

Plate-type beam splitter for high-power lasers.

Depending on the application, cube beam splitters may not be suitable, and instead, plate beam splitters are used. For the highest levels of wavefront and power handling, conventional coated plate types such as BK7 or fused silica are excellent choices. Spectral Optics offers various R/T ratios of standard plate beam splitters, all coated with dielectric coatings. These are designed for specific wavelengths and polarizations (S-polarized, P-polarized, or unpolarized), at 45° (or other incident angles). The backside is treated with anti-reflective (AR) coating.

Harmonic beam splitter for high-energy lasers

Beam splitter for separating the fundamental wave and harmonics of a laser.

Regular plate harmonic beam splitter and ultra-thin harmonic beam splitter are two types. High-energy harmonic beam splitters are similar to dichroic beam splitters. They are designed to separate the fundamental wave and harmonics of a laser. Spectral Optics supplies harmonic beam splitters for Nd:YAG lasers and Ti:sapphire lasers. A single-sided high-energy dichroic coating reflects over 99.5% of the target wavelength while transmitting other wavelengths. For wavelengths longer than the target wavelength, it transmits over 90%, and for wavelengths shorter than the target wavelength, it transmits over 85%. The backside is coated with high-energy AR coating for the transmitted wavelengths. If the beam size is small, less than 3mm, a minimum deviation angle is required, and an ultra-thin beam splitter is necessary.

This is a cube-type polarization-independent beam splitter designed for controlling laser light sources that emit at specific wavelengths and outputs.
