This is an example we received from a manufacturer of labor-saving machinery. We were consulted because "the customer (in the chemical industry) started adding water to resin powder, and a bridging phenomenon that had not occurred before began to happen in the delivered equipment." The key point this time is that while the flowability of the resin powder before water addition is relatively good, the angle of repose increases due to the addition of water, and there is a possibility of increasing the amount of water added in the future. We would like to introduce a case where a user experiencing significant issues with the discharge of titanium oxide reached out to us. The size of the hopper in question is 500×500, and if the flowability of the powder is quite poor, it is generally recommended to use at least four blow discs (standard type: BD-15). Initially, four BD-20 type blow discs were adopted, and aeration was performed manually under various conditions.
