0179 Introduction of engineering plastic manufacturing factory to the raw material hopper.

Divide 8 Brodisks into 4 locations and sequentially turn on the air! Solve the issue of raw material discharge failure.

We would like to introduce a case where our "Brodisk" provided a solution. It was implemented as a measure against poor discharge from the plastic raw material hopper. There are two raw material storage tanks, and we introduced one controller with eight standard Brodisks and four solenoid valves for each tank. By dividing the eight Brodisks into four locations and sequentially turning on the air, we resolved the issue of poor discharge of the raw material. 【Overview】 ■ Product Name: Engineering Plastic ■ Powder Granule Name: Plastic Raw Material ■ Hopper Overview and Trouble Situation 1 Hopper Shape and Dimensions: Conical Hopper, 2000φ Discharge: 200A Choke Valve Trouble Situation: Bridging ■ Hopper Overview and Trouble Situation 2 Hopper Shape and Dimensions: Conical Hopper, 2000φ Discharge: 400φ Table Discharge Device Trouble Situation: Rat Hole * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous case studies. Preventing bridging of granules with high moisture content.

Trouble resolved with the installation of the Brodisk and Brodisk Mini!

We will introduce a case where the problem of high-moisture granules bridging at the hopper outlet was resolved by installing a Brodie disk and a Brodie disk mini. Initially, you were using an overseas vibrator (air ball type), which had some effectiveness but occasionally caused bridging, leading you to contact us. First, the risk of blockage is highest just above the outlet, so we installed two Brodie disk minis in that location. It is preferable to install them close to the discharge outlet, which is why we chose the Brodie disk mini. Additionally, we installed two Brodie disks about 150mm higher along the hopper wall than the Brodie disk mini. [Overview] ■ Hopper specifications Top: 800φ, Outlet: 80φ, Angle of repose: approximately 60° ■ Raw material Particle size: approximately 5φ, Moisture content: over 20% *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous case studies, which you can check via the link below.

0315 Resolve the clogging of the range chip.

By installing the Brodisk standard type, the clogging is resolved!

To the facilities manufacturing functional resin products, we would like to introduce a case where our blow discs were supplied. From the user, we received an inquiry stating, "Chips of about 1-2mm are clogging at the hopper discharge section, so we installed a nozzle nearby for air aeration, but it hasn't resolved the issue." Since the material has relatively good flowability, we resolved the clogging by installing three standard blow discs 250mm above the hopper wall from the discharge section. Most cases we consult on involve materials with relatively poor flowability. Therefore, in the case of a hopper with a diameter of about 1200mm, it is common to install four or more blow discs, but in this instance, three installations worked effectively. 【Hopper Conditions】 ■ Diameter: 1200mm ■ Discharge Diameter: 125A *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous implementation examples. 0326 Poor dust emission from the dust collector

Adoption of a blow disc in the dust collector hopper! Introducing a case that improved discharge issues.

We would like to introduce a case where a blow disk was adopted to address the poor discharge of collected dust. There were no issues during continuous discharge from the dust collector's hopper, but when dust was stored over the weekend, it became very difficult to discharge even with the vibrator running at the beginning of the week. Therefore, the blow disk was adopted. After the introduction of this equipment, it has been evaluated that smooth discharge is possible even after several days of storage. 【Overview of the Material】 ■ Dust collected from electric furnaces ・Bulk density: 0.8 ・Angle of repose: 50° ・Main component: Iron oxide *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous implementation examples, which can be checked via the link below.

Example of a case where the discharge diameter is small compared to the hopper diameter (2500φ).

An example of installing four Brody Disk Minis just above the 100φ discharge section.

This is a case study delivered to a chemical product manufacturer. We received a consultation regarding the occurrence of a bridging phenomenon just above the rat hole and discharge section. In this instance, in addition to the standard eight Brodie disks, we installed four mini Brodie disks just above the 100mm discharge section. Of course, the results were favorable. Thank you to the users who adopted our solution. 【Overview】 ■ Hopper diameter: 2500mm ■ Discharge diameter: 100mm ■ Target material: Resin-based fine powder (poor fluidity) 【Key Points of Our Equipment】 ■ The elastic disk (silicone) is very important in terms of the risk of foreign material contamination, as well as strength and durability. The silicone disks in our equipment are exceptionally strong and durable. Once you use them, you will understand! ■ Control (how to aerate?) is crucial! We provide guidance on what should be done. We also have a dedicated controller available. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous case studies. Elimination of the bridge at the upper part of the corn valve.

Responding to the request to reduce the amount of air used! Case study on the introduction of the blow disk.

This is a case that was consulted by the equipment manager of a chemical company. It was reported that during the air transport of ceramic-based fine powder and when packaging with a packer, a bridge was forming at the top of the cone valve. Upon reviewing the material sample, it was found to be quite fine and had no flowability at all. Therefore, we recommended the installation of four Broady Disk Minis (BD-08), which they adopted. After the installation of this equipment, we received feedback that the bridging phenomenon was resolved. 【Product Specifications】 ■ Broady Disk Mini: BD-08S-B, 4 units * For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous case studies. Troubleshooting in the cast iron sand hopper

An example of installing a blow disk as a bridge countermeasure in a conveyor hopper for foundry sand.

This is a case where we received a request for bridge measures in a casting sand conveyor hopper. Due to the desire to test it immediately, we lent out the necessary quantity of the Brody Disk. The test results indicated that "the effectiveness of the Brody Disk is deemed sufficient, but the effect is further enhanced when used in conjunction with a vibrator," according to the user's assessment. Based on this result, we proceeded with the introduction of the Brody Disk and controller, and they have been using it smoothly since then. 0388 Attached to the raw material hopper of the vacuum conveyor.

A blow disk is installed here as a countermeasure against clogging due to the small discharge diameter of the lower part of the transfer hopper.

This is an example introduced as a countermeasure for clogging at the source hopper of a vacuum conveying device. Since it is a suction-type transport device, the discharge diameter at the bottom of the source hopper is small, which is where the clogging countermeasure is implemented. The hopper has a gentle slope, and there are several materials with poor fluidity, so a standard type blow disk was placed above the mini blow disk. 【Overview】 ■ Diameter: Approximately 500φ ■ Discharge diameter: 2S ■ Hopper apex angle: 90° ■ Target material: Fine powder related to pharmaceuticals (details unknown, with several other materials as well) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous examples of implementations. 0392 Solving rat holes in acrylic resin powder

An example of installing a blow disk to solve the rat hole in the supply hopper of the extruder.

We would like to introduce an example delivered to a resin product manufacturer. We received a consultation regarding the material inside the supply hopper of the extruder, which was forming a rat hole shape. While the installation of a vibrator was considered, based on the customer's experience, it was determined that it would "tighten even more," leading to the decision to install our equipment. As a result, by installing a total of four Brody Disk Minis at different heights (two each), the rat hole phenomenon was resolved immediately. [Overview] ■ Target material: Acrylic resin powder (angle of repose: approximately 40 degrees) ■ Hopper diameter: 300 mm * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous case studies. 0395 For nitrogen purging to prevent oxidation of granular fuel

A case where a blow disc was installed at the bottom of a cylindrical tank.

This is an example of adoption that differs from the purpose of eliminating bridges and rat holes. The contents consist of fuel particles approximately a few millimeters in size, and it is necessary to perform nitrogen gas purging to prevent heat generation due to oxidation. Therefore, we decided to adopt a blow disk with the expectation that the gas would be evenly distributed within the tank. Although there was a basic preference for continuous gas purging, maintaining a constant gas flow would result in a significant consumption of gas. On the other hand, reducing the purging pressure was considered detrimental to gas diffusion, so we recommended intermittent operation with four blow disks. It has been operating smoothly without any particular troubles. 【Overview】 ■ Tank diameter: 2500φ ■ Number of blow disks installed: 12 * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous implementation examples, which can be checked via the link below.

0427 Resolving accumulation in the incineration ash hopper

Air injection and vibration along the hopper's inner surface are effective! A brodie disk has been installed to eliminate the accumulation occurring at the gently sloped corners.

This is a case requested by a plant engineering company. We received an inquiry regarding a large hopper (square hopper) for incineration ash, where ash accumulates in the corners of the lower 1/3 to 1/2 of the hopper. Unlike mesh-type air relators, the blow disk injects air along the inner surface of the hopper and vibrates, making it very effective. There is no need to worry about mesh clogging. After the trial operation following the installation of the blow disk, we received positive feedback from the customer regarding the results. 【Overview】 ■ Hopper Size ・Approximately 5000×5000 ■ Arrangement ・2 units at each corner, staggered in height for 3 tiers × 2 corners, totaling 12 units ■ Control ・12 blow disks controlled by a controller with 6 solenoid valves, injecting air sequentially in pairs *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous implementation examples that can be accessed via the link below.

0445 The fiber powder bridge has been eliminated in one go.

A case where a bridge occurred and multiple vibrators were installed, but it became even tighter, has been resolved!

This is an introduction to a case delivered to a crusher and shredder manufacturer. The customer (the crusher manufacturer) consulted us, stating, "During the trial operation of the device we manufactured, a bridge formed, and even after installing multiple vibrators, it became even harder to discharge." The summary of the trouble was that fiber powder was bridging in the hopper mentioned above, and when the vibrators were activated, it completely clogged within a few seconds, making it impossible to discharge at all. On the same day we were contacted, we sent the equipment for testing, and it was installed the very next day. The test results were excellent, and it was adopted as is. 【Hopper Overview】 ■ Top: 800×800 ■ Discharge section: 200φ ■ Three-sided slope (one side is vertical, two sides have sufficient slope, and one side is gentle) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous case studies.
