【Basic Knowledge】What is chemical conversion treatment?
Marub Industries introduces basic knowledge about chemical treatment!
"Chemical treatment" refers to a surface treatment that involves immersing aluminum in a treatment solution, binding it with oxygen to create a thin oxide film, without using an electrolyte solution. The oxide film is about 0.1μm thick, thinner than anodizing, and while it has reduced corrosion and wear resistance, the absence of electrolytic treatment allows for a shortened processing time and lower-cost work equipment. It is used for its decorative properties, preserving the natural color of aluminum, and as a base for painting. The treatment methods include the Bayer method, MBV method, phosphate method, and chromate method. 【Features】 ■ Creates a thin oxide film surface treatment ■ Approximately 0.1μm thick, thinner than anodizing ■ Shortened processing time and lower-cost work equipment ■ Used for decorative purposes and as a base for painting ■ The chromate method offers golden and milky white colors *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
