The CVK2522H series (W25mm × D20mm × H22.5mm) is one of the largest products in our metal-type power inductor lineup, achieving an improvement of over twice the rated current compared to similar ferrite products. It offers a range of inductance values from 1.0μH to 15μH. By increasing the size and adopting a high-density winding structure with flat wire, we have reduced the DCR while optimizing the balance of allowable current for each inductance value. This has enabled us to achieve rated currents that exceed those of conventional products, making it suitable for applications requiring higher currents. Utilizing our cultivated precision processing technology, we produce various coils used in high-precision communication and office automation equipment (small-batch production of many varieties). ■□■□■【Introducing a case study on reinforcement of relay coil terminal wires!】■□■□■ 【Features】 Due to the tendency for extremely fine wires (less than 0.03 mm) to break near the terminals, we perform twisting wire terminal processing. By using twisted wires (3, 5, and 7 strands), we have reduced the incidence of breakage near the terminals. 【Challenges Faced】 Because of the multi-axis winding (16 axes), the twisted wires (3, 5, and 7 strands) resulted in thicker wire diameters, requiring careful attention to ensure even winding of the insulation. With a terminal length of 1.5 mm, we twisted the insulation 5 times, and during soldering, we struggled with the unsoldered finish around the base, which required one complete round. 【Usage Examples】 The twisted wire type is used for coils ranging from 24V to 100V. They are mainly used in power-related control applications.
