Green hydrogen production using alkaline water electrolysis technology

Production of green hydrogen using industrial-scale water electrolysis systems.

At Thyssenkrupp New Ceramics, we are expanding our business primarily in the energy and environmental sectors by developing green hydrogen production technology based on our extensive experience in electrolysis technology. The alkaline water electrolyzers we offer utilize a modular skid-mounted design to simplify on-site operations and reduce costs. Each unit is easy to install, and by increasing the number of units according to the project's scale, it is possible to raise production capacity to commercial scales ranging from hundreds of megawatts to gigawatts. Furthermore, as specialists in chemical plant engineering, we contribute to the realization of the entire value chain, from large-scale hydrogen production to the manufacturing of green chemicals using renewable energy. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.*

【Semiconductor-related】Low power consumption ion exchange membrane electrolyzer

Ion exchange membrane electrolyzers, which are widely used in high-purity refining equipment related to semiconductors! *Materials explaining "What is ion exchange membrane electrolysis?" are available.

E-Plan takes pride in having deep knowledge in the design and manufacturing of ion exchange membrane electrolyzers. The ion exchange membrane electrolyzer unit refers to the ion exchange membrane, gaskets, electrolyzer frame, inlet and outlet headers, inlet and outlet hoses, and the press used to assemble them. In the case of salt electrolysis, a unit with a size of 1200×2400 and a current density of 40A/dm², equipped with approximately 90 frames using hydraulic presses, is equivalent to a production capacity of 10,000 tons/Y of NaOH. In this case, the material for the anode side of the electrolyzer frame is made of titanium, which requires skill in welding and bending, while the material for the cathode side is selected based on the concentration of caustic soda, using pure nickel. Recently, these technologies have also been applied to sulfuric acid electrolyzers and are widely used in high-purity refining equipment related to semiconductors. [Technical Features] - Low electrolysis voltage and low power consumption - The anode and cathode chambers can be reliably joined by explosive bonding, ensuring good conductivity - Minimal welding joints, resulting in no leakage - Ability to perform stress analysis due to heat and pressure *For more details, please contact us.
