Matex Provided Reducers to Multiple Teams at the 20th Student Formula Competition!

Thanks to its high degree of design freedom and cost performance, Matex reducers were crucial to enhancing the torque of the EV cars participating in the Student Formula competition.

The Student Formula Competition, modeled after the American "Formula SAE," allows students to form teams and develop and manufacture compact formula-style racing cars over the course of about a year. This competition enables students to learn the essence of manufacturing and its processes, while experiencing the challenges, excitement, and joy of creating. This mission is very much aligned with ours, which is why Matex has become a sponsor of the competition starting this year. We are also sponsoring teams participating in the EV category, such as the University of Tokyo, Aichi Institute of Technology, and Kanagawa Institute of Technology, by providing planetary gear reducers. The Matex Low Backlash Planetary Gear Module features minimal backlash compared to our standard products. Additionally, it maintains the high efficiency of our other models and has excellent backdrivability. Motor reduction gear "Gear Head"

Single item sales are available, and custom orders can be accommodated. The motor's rotation is reduced, outputting torque proportional to the reduction ratio. The maximum allowable torque is 11.76 N·m.

The "Gearhead" is a compact reduction gear used with motors. It comes in mounting dimensions of 60mm square, 80mm square, and 90mm square. The maximum allowable torque for each is 2.45N·m, 7.84N·m, and 11.76N·m, respectively. Additionally, our company sells reduction gears like the "Gearhead" individually.
