A parallel heating cable with a coil-shaped alloy resistance heating element wrapped around two parallel conductors.

Our company is an authorized primary engineering distributor for Raychem. Raychem invented self-regulating heater technology over 40 years ago, bringing a significant transformation to the insulation industry at that time. Self-regulating heating cables contain heating resistors made from a polymer blended with conductive carbon, and due to the composition of this special material, an electrical circuit is formed between the parallel conductors along the entire length of the cable. Additionally, Raychem's Power Limiting (VPL) heaters are parallel heating cables that have a coiled alloy resistance heating element wrapped around two parallel conductors. The resistance of this heating element increases with temperature, creating a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) effect.
