[Construction Example] Efficiently exhaust smoke and gas from a foundry using a dust collection system.

Significantly improve the working environment! We will introduce examples of local exhaust installation.

At F Company's foundry, they were facing a problem where a large amount of gas generated from the burning of an epoxy resin mixed with sand mold agents filled the factory when molten metal was poured into the molds. In response, our company devised a localized exhaust hood tailored to the sources of smoke and gas generation. It was designed to transport the air via ducts, with exhaust fans efficiently expelling the contaminated air outside the factory. As a result, the smoke generated during pouring, the gas that came out of the molds afterward, and the odors that were a concern were smoothly discharged, significantly improving the working environment. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

[Case Study] Condensation Prevention in the Cardboard Manufacturing Industry

Reduction of defective products! Introducing a case of preventing condensation in a cardboard manufacturing company.

At Company S, a cardboard manufacturing manufacturer, we received a consultation regarding the issue that during the winter, the steel framework inside the factory condenses due to the large amount of steam used by the machines (corrugating machines), causing water droplets to fall on the products and resulting in defective items. To address this, we decided to block the steam source with vinyl curtains and perform localized exhaust of the steam within that area. Specifically, we enclosed the surroundings and the top of the machine (corrugating machine) with a vinyl curtain that is 3 meters high and 85 meters long, and added three roof fans for exhaust. As a result, the costs were reduced to about one-third compared to simply adding roof fans. [Case Study] <Results> ■ Condensation was eliminated, preventing water droplets from falling on the products, which reduced the occurrence of defects. ■ We were able to significantly reduce construction costs. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Construction Case] Annual Regular Self-Inspection and Report for Foundation Manufacturing Company S.

Always maintain the dust collector in normal condition! Reduce the workload of the management personnel in the factory!

We received several requests from Company S, a foundation manufacturing company, to check the poor suction of an existing line when they undertake other construction work. In such cases, the inspection of the existing line has hindered the progress of the necessary work. Therefore, we proposed a contract for regular inspections of the existing line approximately once a year. This allows us to maintain the dust collection system in a normal state, enabling it to perform effectively, and also helps prevent breakdowns, thus avoiding unnecessary repair costs. 【Construction Overview】 ■ Regular inspection and cleaning of dust collectors and ducts for welding fumes, mist, etc. ■ Checking the appropriate air velocity and airflow at the intake of local exhaust systems and the dust collector itself. ■ Inspections will be conducted approximately once a year, with us preparing the necessary documents to be submitted to the respective department representatives. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Construction Example] Fume Local Exhaust for Welding Robot, Company T in the Welding Industry

Designed the hood to maximize effectiveness! A case study on fume extraction in welding processes.

At Company T, which specializes in welding processing with robots, there was a significant issue with welding smoke (dust) in the factory. During winter, the windows are closed, causing the smoke to fill the factory. Since the capacity of the dust collector was already determined, we designed the hood to maximize its effectiveness. We increased the diameter of the intake (duct) to reduce internal resistance and hung curtains around the hood to improve efficiency. As a result, the smoke in the factory was significantly improved compared to before the installation. 【Case Summary】 ■Challenges - The factory has severe welding smoke (dust) due to constant welding. - In winter, the windows are closed, causing smoke to fill the factory. ■Results - The smoke in the factory was significantly improved compared to before the installation. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Construction Case] Local Exhaust for Printing Room, Company S, a Semiconductor Manufacturing Manufacturer

The temperature difference between the intake and exhaust air has almost disappeared, resulting in improved heating and cooling efficiency.

At Company S, a manufacturer of foundational products, a local exhaust system had been installed for the discharge of organic solvents. However, this setup only expelled air outside, resulting in a constant negative pressure indoors. As a result, when doors were opened, outside air would enter, bringing in outdoor debris, which led to contamination of products and the production of defective items. To address this, a total heat exchanger was installed, which exchanged 70% to 80% of the heat from the exhaust air to the intake air, eliminating the decrease in heating and cooling efficiency. Additionally, airflow control dampers were installed in the supply and exhaust ducts to prevent the indoor environment from becoming negatively pressurized. 【Case Summary】 ■ Issues - The indoor environment was constantly under negative pressure. - Debris was adhering to products, resulting in defective items. ■ Results - The indoor environment became positively pressurized, eliminating defective products. - The temperature difference between the intake and exhaust air was nearly eliminated, improving heating and cooling efficiency. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Proposal for integrated measurement of working environment and maintenance of local exhaust systems.

In addition to conducting work environment measurements, we can also propose maintenance for your local exhaust system from a single company!

The substances subject to risk assessment will increase from the current 674 substances, with an additional 234 substances being added starting from April of R6. Subsequently, around 700 substances will be added in April of R7, and approximately 850 substances in April of R8, with the obligation to conduct risk assessments being gradually expanded. Businesses that manufacture, handle, or transfer substances subject to risk assessment are required to appoint a chemical substance manager, among various other amendments. All facilities engaged in the manufacture or handling of the relevant chemical substances, regardless of industry or size, will be subject to these regulations. Additionally, local exhaust systems used indoors can also be maintained! Measurements of face velocity and maintenance of exhaust fans can be performed as well. Maintenance can be carried out regardless of the manufacturer. For more details, please download the catalog or contact us.

[Case Study] Response to Amendments of Specialized Substance Prevention Regulations

Specialized substances require management at suppressive concentrations, so confirmation through measurement is necessary! Introduction of improvement cases.

We would like to introduce the issues and improvement measures related to the amendments to the Special Substances Prevention Regulations. In grinding operations involving special substances (cobalt), it is difficult to enclose only the grinding area due to the presence of optical devices attached to the grinding equipment. Additionally, since the management of special substances (cobalt) is based on suppression concentration, confirmation through measurement is necessary, which posed certain challenges. As an improvement measure, we implemented an external hood system by enclosing the back of the suction inlet (the back of the equipment) with a curtain, allowing us to confirm the suppression concentration at the designed airflow. [Challenges] - Preparation of notification documents to the Labor Standards Inspection Office and accompanying summary documents, calculation sheets, drawings, etc., in response to the amendments to the Special Substances Prevention Regulations (effective January 1, 2013). - Design of local exhaust equipment (hoods, ducts, dust collection devices) considering three factors: workability, energy conservation, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
