"Magnum" was originally developed to improve the durability of transmissions in the harsh environment of F1 racing. The reasons why conventional barrier-type filters are ineffective, which led to the introduction of "Magnum," include the following: - They create pressure loss. - The viscosity index of the lubricating oil used is high. - They inadequately remove tiny iron-based particles that can damage the system. In any system, it is essential to quickly remove the increasing contamination to prevent a chain of wear. Since the installation of "Magnum" at the Didcot A power plant 18 months ago, it has been reported that the issues with the pulverizing mill gearbox, which occurred about four times a year previously, have become nonexistent.
