Phenolic resin "Black Bakelite"

Recommended when color change is undesirable! For applications in electrical insulation materials and mechanical parts.

"Black Bakelite" is one of the engineering plastics and is a phenolic resin material based on fabric. While black Bakelite has excellent insulation and impact resistance, care must be taken as it is prone to water absorption due to its fabric base. Additionally, the original color (brown) of Bakelite changes to red over time, so if color change is undesirable, the use of this product is recommended. 【Advantages / Benefits】 ■ Mechanical strength ■ Electrical insulation ■ Thermal insulation ■ Heat resistance ■ Flame retardancy *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Development of powdered solid resol-type resin

High moisture absorption suppression, anti-agglomeration, and anti-blocking properties! Introducing a resin that reduces ammonia generation by about 1/20.

We have successfully developed a powdered resol-type phenolic resin with thermal self-curing properties that does not contain hexamine (a curing agent), which is a major cause of odor generation. The content of toxic and hazardous substances such as phenol and formaldehyde is below regulatory limits and therefore not applicable. It can be compounded with various fillers. Please feel free to contact us if you have any requests. 【Features】 ■ Powdered resol resin ■ Compared to novolac resin, ammonia generation is reduced to about 1/20 ■ High moisture absorption suppression, anti-agglomeration, and anti-blocking properties ■ Resin properties: Gel time (around 50 seconds), softening point (over 105°C), flow (around 20mm) ■ Bending strength is equivalent *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Terpene phenol resin "YS Polystar"

In addition to various elastomer-based formulations, it is also used for improving the physical properties of acrylic adhesives and epoxy-based products.

"YS Polystar" is a terpene phenol resin co-polymerized from terpene monomers and phenol, which are biomass raw materials. In addition to the wide compatibility of terpene resins, by varying the degree of modification by grade, it can dissolve in a wide range of bases from low polarity to high polarity materials, exhibiting properties such as improved adhesion to difficult bonding surfaces like polyolefin resins. Furthermore, the high softening point grade demonstrates effectiveness in improving heat resistance and fixation as an additive for adhesives and sealants due to its high Tg, and also proves effective in enhancing vibration damping in various rubber molded products, as well as improving flowability and paintability in engineering plastics. [Features] - Thermoplastic adhesive resin (tacky fire) and additive for olefin modification - Capable of addressing high polarity and difficult adhesion with high softening point resin - Bead form *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
