The separated type photo sensor KB1242 is a separated photo sensor that uses an infrared light-emitting diode on the emitting side and a high-sensitivity phototransistor on the receiving side. It can also be used as a standalone unit for either the receiving side or the emitting side. The gap between the emitting and receiving sides can be set arbitrarily (1 to 100 mm), and it is a low-cost type. Additionally, we offer other series with photo IC output (digital output) such as KB1240 and KB1241, as well as RoHS compliant products. It is suitable for applications such as object passage detection in vending machines and ticket machines, paper presence detection in copiers and printers, timing detection, and object passage detection in various automatic machines.
