Crystal optics ultra-large freeform mirror production 600×200mm

Surface roughness Ra 3nm, shape accuracy PV 1μm. High precision is achievable even in large sizes.

Crystal optics enables the production of ultra-large freeform mirrors. Freeform shapes are complex and non-rotationally symmetric surfaces that cannot be represented by simple mathematical formulas, unlike spherical or rotationally symmetric aspheric surfaces. There is a growing demand for precise lenses and mirrors with freeform shapes as components in optical systems for light collection and projection, such as in the fields of astronomy and automotive mirrors. At Crystal Optics, we have determined appropriate processing conditions for these ultra-large freeform shapes and successfully demonstrated the performance of the Nanoform 700 ultra processing machine using slotted tool servo processing, achieving success in areas that even processing machine developers have never experienced.

At You Corporation, we realize micron-order ultra-precision machining using our long-cultivated know-how and high-precision equipment environment for resin and metal materials. Acrylic and polycarbonate tend to whiten on the machined surface after cutting. Therefore, we achieve transparency and mirror finish through a process that eliminates additional treatment and polishing, relying solely on cutting. We reproduce internal shapes that cannot be achieved through cutting alone by using adhesives, allowing for machining that maintains transparency during the cutting process. [Proposed Solution Case] Reducing Transportation Costs While Maintaining Japanese Quality

A case where we achieved a reduction in delivery time and were able to lower material procurement costs by several percent!

We would like to introduce a case where our company responded to a customer's concerns with full effort. In this case, the materials for the processed parts were not available in China, so we were planning to supply Japanese materials. However, considering the transportation time and the weight of the materials (over 100kg), this was not practical. Therefore, we proposed an alternative material that could be sourced locally (Chinese GB standard: 30CrNi3). We achieved a reduction in delivery time, transportation, and raw material costs, with procurement costs decreasing by several percent. 【Case Overview】 ■Concern - Supplying Japanese materials is not practical considering transportation time and material weight. ■Proposal - We proposed an alternative material that could be sourced locally. - We reported that there had been past usage of the same alternative material with no complaints. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.
