IMPROMAT gamma ray measurement device

Shutting down environmental radiation! IMPROMAT gamma radiation measurement device.

Equipped with a NaI(Tl) scintillation detector, it amplifies the weak light emitted from the scintillator using a photomultiplier tube and converts it into an electrical signal to measure radiation. It is capable of detecting radioactive contaminants that emit gamma rays with energies ranging from 50 keV to 2000 keV, with a detection limit of 0.02 Bq/g (Co-60 equivalent) or better for steel samples under normal environmental radiation levels with a measurement time of 30 seconds. The detector and sample chamber are shielded by a 70 mm thick lead box, which blocks environmental radiation (gamma rays) and allows for high-precision measurement of the sample's inherent radioactivity. Additionally, after startup, it continuously measures the background radiation, accommodating fluctuations in the operating environment. Not only manual measurements but also integration into an automated robotic circle connected to a master PC via TCP/IP communication is possible. - NaI(Tl) scintillation detector - Capable of measuring approximately 0.02 Bq/g Co60-eq - Automation is possible through connection with automated robots - Software reflecting the half-life of standard samples - Data transfer to higher systems is possible - Compatible with a wide range of samples including steel, non-ferrous metals (copper, aluminum), and food.

Study on the decomposition using hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid in the analysis of impurities in silicon.

Minimize exposure to hydrofluoric acid gas for people and improve the work environment! Also contributes to reducing work hours.

This technical document discusses the automatic pre-treatment using hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid for the silicon decomposition (melting) of semiconductor materials and other raw materials, utilizing the automatic pre-treatment device "DEENA" with acid addition and other processes controlled by a PC. When analyzing the silicon (metallic silicon, Si) content and impurities in semiconductor materials, hydrofluoric acid is often used. However, hydrofluoric acid is highly reactive with silicon, requiring careful addition in very small amounts, and during this process, a large amount of hydrofluoric gas is released, necessitating precautions against human exposure. Therefore, we examined the automatic pre-treatment using hydrofluoric acid and nitric acid for the silicon decomposition (melting) of semiconductor materials and other raw materials with DEENA, which can perform tasks such as acid addition, stirring, and measurement automatically under PC control. [Contents] ■ Purpose ■ Overview ■ Reagents Used ■ Analysis Flow, etc. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Technical Data: Automatic Pre-treatment with Aqua Regia in Work Environment Measurement and Analysis

Automatic pretreatment using aqua regia (nitric acid: hydrochloric acid = 1:3) in work environment measurement analysis with DEENA3.

This document introduces the automatic pretreatment using aqua regia (nitric acid: hydrochloric acid = 1:3) in the analysis of work environment measurement using "DEENA3." The analysis of work environment measurements involves complicated reagent addition operations in acid decomposition, which is very labor-intensive. Additionally, there are concerns about human exposure to acid reagents such as hydrochloric acid and nitric acid, making the analysis hazardous. Therefore, we automated the pretreatment of samples for ICP/OES and ICP/MS using the automatic pretreatment device "DEENA3." 【Contents】 ■ Overview ■ Keywords ■ Equipment used ■ Reagents used ■ Analysis flow *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Technical Data: Metal Analysis Pretreatment of Rice and Rice Ears Using DEENA2

Fully automated analysis of metals such as cadmium in rice (brown rice and white rice) and rice ears, including the addition of nitric acid and perchloric acid, heating decomposition, cooling, and sample preparation!

Regarding the cadmium contained in rice, the standard limit was previously set at 1 ppm (mg/kg), but in April 2010, a revision was issued to amend part of the standards for food and food additives, changing the limit for cadmium and its compounds in rice (both brown and white rice) to 0.4 ppm (mg/kg) or less. Traditionally, wet digestion methods using nitric acid, sulfuric acid, or perchloric acid have been employed; however, these methods are time-consuming and labor-intensive, making it difficult to process multiple samples quickly. Therefore, we examined the automatic pretreatment of rice (both brown and white) and rice ears using the nitric acid reflux method with DEENA2, which can perform tasks such as acid addition, stirring, and dilution under PC control in a fully automated manner. - Acid addition heating pretreatment - Reagent addition - Cooling - Dilution - Prevention of human exposure to acids *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

The method for the pretreatment of selenium specified in the industrial wastewater testing method (JIS K 0102) involves complex reagent addition operations during acid digestion, making it very labor-intensive. Additionally, the use of acidic reagents such as nitric acid and sulfuric acid poses exposure risks to humans, making the analysis hazardous. Therefore, using the automated pretreatment device DEENA2 for acid addition and other processes, we automated the sample pretreatment for atomic absorption spectrometry, ICP, and ICP/MS. [Summary] ■ Conducted a study on the pretreatment of selenium (Se) in wastewater analysis ■ Used DEENA2 ■ Performed digestion using nitric acid, sulfuric acid, etc. ■ Considered automation *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
