Pipe rust prevention, the Royal Bank of Scotland has introduced the NMR Pipe Protector.
The Royal Bank of Scotland confirmed the rust prevention and lifespan extension effects of NMR pipe protectors for air conditioning piping, reducing piping renewal costs to less than one-tenth.
As an example of the introduction of the "NMR Pipe Protector," we present the case of the Royal Bank of Scotland. Branch 250 had been in operation for 18 years and was facing issues with red rust in the air conditioning hot water piping. Due to the high costs of rust inhibitors and a shift towards environmental considerations, the "NMR Pipe Protector" was installed in the air conditioning hot water piping in March 2018. As a result of the installation, the iron content value from red rust in the hot water, which was 1.10 mg/L before installation, was re-examined 9 weeks after the installation of the NMR Pipe Protector, revealing that the hot water was clear and the amount of dissolved iron in the hot water had decreased to approximately 1/3, or 0.41 mg/L. The progression of red rust within the piping also stopped, and the red rust had transformed from a surface state to black rust. The NMR Pipe Protector successfully resolved the issue of red rust dissolving into the water and halted its progression. There is now no longer a concern about the acceleration of piping deterioration due to red rust. Additionally, the coating from black rust has a reinforcing effect on the piping, and it is expected to extend the lifespan of the piping to match the lifespan of the building. *Customer feedback (customer testimonials) and other PDF materials are currently available for free! *Please feel free to contact us first.
