Book "Latest Catalytic Technologies Aiming for Carbon Neutrality"

An introduction to the latest technologies by leading experts fighting on the front lines towards a future where renewable energy, green hydrogen, and CO2 are expected to become sources of energy and raw materials for chemicals.

In 2050, Japan's carbon neutrality is expected to rely on renewable energy, green hydrogen produced from renewable energy, and CO2 from the atmosphere as raw materials for energy and chemicals. Oil refining facilities and naphtha crackers will be eliminated. Consequently, petrochemicals will shift from naphtha-derived ethylene centers to new chemical centers based on CO2 and green hydrogen. The development of processes using new catalysts and fermentation methods will be necessary. On the other hand, waste plastics and waste that are polluting the environment are valuable carbon resources. These must be recycled. Catalysts are essential for chemical recycling. This time, we have invited leading experts who are at the forefront of the fight against global warming to introduce the latest technologies. We hope this will be beneficial to many researchers. 【Features of this book】 ➢ In 2050, Japan's carbon neutrality will rely on renewable energy, green hydrogen produced from renewable energy, and atmospheric CO2 as raw materials for energy and chemicals. ➢ Introduction of the latest technologies by leading experts in the fight against global warming.

Catalyst "Kasumi Catalyst"

Decomposition and carbonization of organic molecules through chemical reactions.

The "Kasumi Catalyst" is a catalyst for the decomposition and carbonization of organic materials. By bringing this catalyst into contact with all organic materials, a chemical reaction (decomposition carbonization reaction) occurs, transforming them into powdered carbon. It does not work at room temperature and is adjusted to exhibit catalytic action at temperatures of about 80°C or higher, making it safe to touch at room temperature. 【Features】 ■ The base material is insoluble in water. ■ It is possible to manufacture a variety of catalysts that correspond to reaction devices and decomposition carbonization targets, including different particle shapes, sizes, and materials. ■ As a characteristic of the catalyst, it works well with a dosage of 3-5 wt% for the decomposition target and maintains its effectiveness even after repeated use for several days. ■ Since it involves a chemical reaction at low temperatures, there is no generation of carbon dioxide (CO2) dioxins. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
