A column with a long-chain alkyl group C30 effective for isomers and lipophilic compounds.

The C30 column can separate meta and para xylene, which cannot be separated by the C18 column, as well as the trans and cis forms of vitamin K1. Additionally, it can separate beta and gamma-tocopherol, which are forms of vitamin E. The C30 column shows retention comparable to that of the C18 column when using methanol-water and acetonitrile-water mobile phases; however, for the separation of highly lipophilic compounds using THF or chloroform as the mobile phase, the C30 column exhibits approximately twice the retention of the C18 column, significantly improving separation.
