[RecurDyn Introduction Case] JTEKT Corporation

Examples of applications such as the analysis of ball screws and the behavior analysis of rack and pinion systems.

We would like to introduce a case where our "RecurDyn" software has been implemented at Jaytec Corporation. Initially, they were using other mechanism analysis software, but the introduction was prompted by a request to the Research and Development Department to evaluate the strength of the CVJ (Constant Velocity Joint) retainers that make up the drive shaft, as it was thought that coupled analysis of mechanism analysis and FEM could be performed. After the introduction, although metal retainers were the mainstream, the trend towards using resin and the increasing severity of usage conditions have led to its primary application in strength evaluation. [Case Overview] ■ Reason for Introduction: A request was made for analysis to evaluate the strength of CVJ retainers, as it was thought that coupled analysis of mechanism analysis and FEM could be performed. ■ Result: Mainly utilized for strength evaluation. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

[RecurDyn Implementation Case] Mitsubishi Electric Corporation

Examples of applications that utilize analyses including mechatronics and other physical phenomena.

We would like to introduce a case where our "RecurDyn" has been implemented at Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, a comprehensive electrical equipment manufacturer. The introduction was made possible because F-Flex's direct method can solve the coupling of mechanical structures, allowing everything from mesh generation to analysis execution to be completed in one go. Additionally, the G-Manager function allows for a certain degree of freedom in switching between elastic bodies and rigid bodies. After the introduction, while other software sometimes struggles to perform analyses even with initial settings, we received feedback that our product provides reliable analysis with basic initial settings during the trial calculation phase, without requiring complex considerations. 【Case Overview】 ■ Advantages of our product - Provides reliable analysis with basic initial settings during the trial calculation phase. - Allows for free switching between elastic bodies and rigid bodies. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

[RecurDyn Case Study] NTN Corporation

A case where significant effects on reducing development time were achieved through customized automation.

We would like to introduce a case study where our "RecurDyn" was implemented at NTN Corporation, a bearing manufacturer. The company started using our product because various products required mechanism analysis. After implementation, it was utilized for the analysis of an eccentric roller reducer. The most challenging part was aligning it with experimental results, but ultimately we succeeded in reducing the error to within 4%. [Case Overview] ■Reason for Implementation: Mechanism analysis was needed for various products ■Effects of Automation with ProcessNet - Time and labor reduction - Designers were able to change models and perform calculations at their preferred timing, which improved the efficiency of obtaining the analysis results required for design. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study of Thermal Fluid Analysis] Analysis of Coating Die using AcuSolve

Conducting thermal fluid analysis of the slot die! It is possible to calculate the temperature changes of the ink and the die.

This article introduces a case study of thermal fluid analysis of a coating die using AcuSolve. Using the general-purpose thermal fluid analysis software AcuSolve, we conduct thermal fluid analysis of a slot die, allowing inks with different physical properties and temperatures to flow in from the inlet. We investigate the spread of the resin and the temperature changes of the mold. We can visualize the spread of the fluid flowing through a narrow channel by coloring it and observing the fluid that enters from a specific inlet. 【Contents】 ■ Overview ■ Model Description and Calculation Conditions ■ Physical Property Values ■ Analysis Results ■ Conclusion *Detailed information about the case study can be viewed through the related links. For more information, please feel free to contact us.

[Technical Column] Musculoskeletal Analysis - Unraveling the Mechanisms of Human Movement

There are broadly two types of approaches! They can be applied to various research fields related to humans.

In this column, we will explain "musculoskeletal analysis," which is a type of CAE in the field of bioengineering. Musculoskeletal analysis involves creating a human model (musculoskeletal model) composed of muscles and bones to replicate human movements, and it calculates the muscle activity during these movements and the forces acting on various parts of the model. The analysis uses motion capture data measured from the subject's movements. We invite you to read on. 【Contents】 ■ What is musculoskeletal analysis? ■ Analysis methods ■ Application fields ■ Conclusion *For more detailed information about the column, please refer to the related links. Structural Analysis Example: Plastic Processing

Ideal as a development and design tool! When performing plastic deformation analysis with "LS-DYNA," it is done using dynamic explicit methods.

In plastic processing analysis, the nonlinearity due to contact becomes a significant challenge, and the sudden large forces and friction that occur at the moment of contact are factors that complicate the convergence of the solution. For example, in sheet forming analysis, the contact forces between the blank material and the tool, as well as the contact forces of the draw bead that control the material flow, are the key points that control formability. Therefore, it is important to seek solutions efficiently, in addition to ensuring accuracy. When analyzing with "LS-DYNA," the explicit method allows for obtaining solutions without performing convergence calculations, making it possible to predict the required work hours, and it can be said to be suitable as a development and design tool. [Explicit Method for Analysis with LS-DYNA] - Allows for obtaining solutions without performing convergence calculations, enabling work hour predictions. - Suitable as a development and design tool. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.*
