Previously, products were transported between buildings in the factory using trucks, but with the introduction of this product, automatic transport was realized, leading to successful labor reduction. Challenging a new mission at the Karita new factory! A case of developing and introducing an original AGV.

One of the missions in the establishment of the new Kaneda factory of Topre Kyushu Co., Ltd. was to reduce takt time in various situations to improve productivity beyond that of the existing Kurume factory. From the initial planning stage, the goal was to eliminate lift operations as much as possible and to introduce AGVs to enhance overall competitiveness. However, the requirements for AGVs in parts manufacturing were high, and existing AGVs did not meet the specifications. Therefore, by developing original AGVs that meet the company's quality requirements, the introduction of AGVs became possible. Additionally, in terms of operation, two AGVs were used as a set across the entire line flexibly, thereby improving system efficiency. We have introduced two AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) at Japan Fine Steel Co., Ltd., a wire manufacturer. Japan Fine Steel Co., Ltd. holds a top share both domestically and internationally in the production of special wires essential for semiconductor processing. In this instance, our group's AGVs will be utilized for transporting wires and bobbins. Previously, transportation was carried out using forklifts, but with the introduction of our product, automated transportation has been realized, allowing those who were responsible for this transportation task to focus on other duties. Although the site had many areas with corrugated steel plates, we determined that our group's AGVs, known for their high mobility, could operate there. We brought the AGVs to the actual site and conducted a demonstration. We were able to showcase their "strong performance on rough terrain" feature, which led to their adoption.

[Case Study] Outdoor Transport 1000kg Portable Unmanned Transport Vehicle

Automated transportation is possible even outdoors, close to the sea!

We have delivered a 1000kg portable unmanned transport vehicle to the Sakade Factory of Toa Gosei Co., Ltd. By automating the transport of materials to a warehouse approximately 200 meters away from the production area using the unmanned transport vehicle, we were able to automate a task that previously required dozens of trips by forklift each day, fulfilling the request to shift workers to other optimal tasks. We have successfully cleared high hurdles such as outdoor conditions, slopes, undulations, long distances, inter-building transport, and interference with other vehicles, and we have received positive evaluations for achieving results beyond expectations.
