UR+ Certified Products: Robot Hand and Gripper Catalog Collection

Catalog of Electric, Pneumatic, and Vacuum Robot Hands and Grippers Compatible with UR Robots

When considering the introduction of collaborative robots, it is necessary to select not only the robots but also the peripheral devices, and to examine how to build the robot system. Universal Robots+ (UR+) is a product group of peripheral devices that can be used in combination with UR robots. Over 250 products certified by UR work in conjunction with UR robots to enable rapid deployment, easy programming, and reliable operation. This supports the smooth launch of robot systems. This time, we will focus on robot hands and grippers that can be connected to the end of the robot arm, introducing four products: electric, pneumatic, and vacuum grippers. [The four products being introduced] ■ Robotiq Hand-E Electric Gripper Features: Capable of horizontally gripping workpieces ■ On ROBOT RG2 Gripper Electric Gripper Features: Can control two grippers ■ Schmalz FXCB Vacuum Gripper Features: Suitable for gripping workpieces with uneven surfaces, such as cardboard ■ SMC Air Chuck Pneumatic Gripper Operates by connecting one air supply tube and electrical wiring with an M8 connector.

[Case Study] High Mix/Low Volume Automation

Easily handle various components! We were able to quickly respond to production changes without compromising quality.

BS CNC is a small family-owned business that manufactures its own series of small to medium-sized precision metal parts. As the company steadily grew, it became a key supplier to large multinational corporations, but maintaining the machines was a time-consuming task for employees. Employees had to stand in front of the machines all day to ensure that they did not remain idle for long periods at a time, and the repetitive and monotonous nature of the tasks made it difficult for the company to find and retain skilled operators. Therefore, the company chose the OnRobot "2FG7 Electric Gripper." This allowed them to be freed from many technical headaches and quickly get the entire system up and running. [Challenges] ■ Employees had to stand in front of the machines all day to ensure that they did not remain idle for long periods at a time. ■ The repetitive and monotonous nature of the tasks made it difficult to find and retain skilled operators. *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.*

[Compact and lightweight x long stroke and high gripping force] Electric gripper

Reduce power consumption by 80%! An electric gripper that balances the "delicacy" of a fingertip with the "precision" of a machine, easily grasping semiconductors and glass.

The "Electric Gripper" is a product that achieves ultra-compactness, lightweight, and high reliability by adopting a simple spiral cam mechanism. By finely adjusting "speed, position, and gripping force," it can gently grasp objects without the need for options like rubber to cushion impacts. It is also skilled at sorting, gently transporting, measuring, and aligning items. By using Minowa Mitsumi's ball bearings in the spiral cam mechanism, it has achieved high-speed operation, as well as delicate pressing control and high-precision gripping force accuracy. It can easily grip delicate and fragile products such as eggs, glass, springs, and semiconductors. 【Features】 ● 80% reduction in power consumption* ● Improved throughput of 500 cycles/h* ● Low gripping force pressing control ● Long stroke (maximum stroke: 13mm for type 25) - top class long stroke in the same size ● Lightweight (body weight: 100g for type 20) ● Compact and lightweight design due to the cam mechanism ● Capable of multi-mounting on robot arms and other devices *Compared to air systems

Electric Gripper "ESG1 Series" [Achieving High Precision Beyond Pneumatics]

Achieving high-precision control of gripping force, position, and speed that exceeds air pressure! The maximum gripping force can be set arbitrarily from 30% to 100% in 1% increments.

The electric gripper "ESG1 series" has achieved high-precision position and speed control through closed-loop control using a stepping motor and rotary encoder. The cam type, by adopting a unique structure, realizes high gripping force while being lightweight and compact. Combined with the screw type, there are four types of gripper bodies along with dedicated controllers and support software to meet various needs. Additionally, various options have been added.
