In ion chromatography with a conductivity detector and suppressor, it is often the case that the calibration curve is not actually linear. Particularly when the calibration curve needs to cover a wide concentration range, applying multiple calibration curves for different concentration ranges results in more accurate measurement results. By using MagIC Net software, multiple calibration curves can be created in a single measurement. This means that the optimal calibration curve for all ions is applied, improving the accuracy of the measurement results. This method can be applied to environmental waters such as tap water, seawater, and rainwater.

We will introduce the IC analysis of NH4 in exhaust gas and the analysis of inorganic ions/oxalic acid ions in PM2.5.
Both anions and cations are achieving short-time, high-resolution analysis using high-throughput columns.
The column "TSKgel SuperIC-Anion HS" for high-performance IC enables the analysis of nitrite nitrogen in high concentrations of chloride ions.
Using the ion chromatograph "IC-8100 series" and the high-performance IC column "TSKgel SuperIC-AnionHS," it is possible to measure 4 ppb of nitrite nitrogen in a sample containing 50 ppm of chloride ions with a system that uses only a conductivity detector. When using a UV absorbance detector, it is possible to measure trace amounts of nitrate nitrogen in samples containing higher concentrations of chloride ions. In the IC column "TSKgel SuperIC-Anion HS," the coexisting carbonate ions do not affect the peaks of common inorganic anions.
Using the ion chromatograph "IC-8100 series" and the high-performance IC column "TSKgel SuperIC-AnionHS," carbonate ions elute at a position that does not overlap with the peaks of the standard seven anions. Therefore, even in samples where carbonate ions coexist at high concentrations, the quantification of other anions is not an issue.
