The Crushing Nano Taro NP-100 was developed using a rotational and translational method. It is a nano grinder capable of crushing small amounts of materials down to the 100-nanometer level in a short time. We would like to introduce a case study of a centrifugal and orbital mixer that was implemented by a customer who manufactures and sells a wide variety of adhesives. In one of the company's main products, conductive adhesives, the incorporation and dispersion of bubbles is a very important factor. Since metal fillers such as silver are used along with various resins as binders, sedimentation and separation of the fillers can easily occur, leading to challenges in dispersion and efficiency during the manufacturing process. To address this, they introduced the "Awatori Nentaro ARV-310 (vacuum type)." As a result, in just about 30 seconds, they achieved excellent dispersion and defoaming effects, allowing them to supply conductive adhesives with no fine bubbles and uniformly dispersed metal fillers. There were mainly three issues: variability caused by manual stirring, inability to achieve uniform mixing, and inefficiency in the process. To produce highly reliable products, several materials, including components, are essential, and among them, the role of adhesives used to connect around 40 to 50 different parts is extremely important. As a medical device manufacturer, the company needed to aim for higher quality but was stuck without finding a definitive solution. We would like to introduce a case study of a customer who has developed and commercialized phosphors for LEDs and has implemented our rotary and orbital vacuum mixer. In their sealing process, the company mixed phosphors with epoxy resin and silicone resin, manually stirred for about 10 minutes, and then degassed using a vacuum degassing machine. With manual stirring, the mixing state varied depending on the operator, making it difficult to achieve a uniform dispersion of the phosphors. As a result, bubbles would rise during the degassing process, requiring constant supervision and leading to a time-consuming process that did not yield satisfactory degassing results. Therefore, they introduced the "ARV-310LED." As a result, they were able to stir and degas simultaneously, significantly reducing the work time. We would like to introduce a case study of a rotational and orbital vacuum mixer that has been implemented by a company supplying white LED elements for backlights to LCD equipment manufacturers. The LED elements were mixed with low-viscosity silicone resin used as a sealing material and phosphor, and then the bubbles contained in the liquid were degassed in a vacuum chamber. However, the use of larger particle size phosphors led to sedimentation and separation, which affected the quality. Therefore, the "Awatori Neritaro ARV-310LED (vacuum type)" was introduced. Previously, mixing took about 5 hours, but with this product, the time was significantly reduced to just 3 to 4 minutes, and there was no sedimentation of the phosphor, confirming a uniform dispersion. We are conducting research to improve the precision of surgical procedures by creating silicone-based artificial organs using a 3D printer and verifying blood flow with these artificial organs and blood vessels. Here, we introduce a case study of a rotational and orbital vacuum mixer that our customer has adopted. Previously, the company placed silicone for 3D printers in a vacuum chamber for degassing, but due to the issue of silicone spattering in the vacuum chamber, the process took a lot of time. In order to simultaneously meet customer demands for shorter delivery times and high quality, the company needed to review all processes. They introduced the "Awatori Neritaro ARV-310 (vacuum type)" and "ARC-40H." As a result, they were able to uniformly disperse high-density glass particles in high-viscosity resin while also enabling defoaming. Additionally, they could set up four syringes at once, allowing for filling without variations or air bubble contamination. However, due to the specifications of the equipment used for preparation, it was necessary to process more than 1 kg of the compound at a time to achieve effective milling, which was financially challenging.
