[Information] Chiller Handbook - Regarding Pipe Sizes and Flow Rate Guidelines - / Apiste

Information on the pipe sizes and flow rate guidelines used when circulating cooling water is provided!

■Pipe Nominal Diameter, Commonly Known Are you aware that the nominal diameter of a pipe is defined by its pipe diameter? There are three types of nominal diameters: A designation, B designation, and commonly known. The nominal diameter differs depending on whether it is based on "millimeters" or "inches." ■Guideline for Flow Rate in Pipes The maximum flow rate is determined by the pipe diameter. However, this is merely a guideline, and depending on the conditions, there may be excessive pressure loss or a decrease in the durability of the pipe itself. For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Data] Chiller Handbook 2 - Tips for Improving Cooling from Hydraulic System Diagrams / Apiste

Hydraulic systems are common in many workplaces. This publication clearly explains how to interpret the schematic of this hydraulic system and improve cooling from the current state!

■Classification of Roles of Hydraulic Components First, we will provide an overview of the roles that each component of the hydraulic system plays. ■Points for Cooling Hydraulic Fluid with a Chiller Hydraulic fluid is often cooled by air-cooled radiators, but it frequently causes problems during the summer. We will clearly explain the key points for cooling with a chiller, which is optimal for forced cooling in summer. ■Determining Required Additional Capacity and Cooling Methods The hydraulic fluid temperature rises significantly immediately after the equipment starts operating. In calculating the required capacity, we will base our calculations on the significant temperature changes that occur right after the equipment startup. Additionally, we will explain where to install the chiller based on the current system diagram and examples. For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Data] The Necessity of Non-Freonization / Apiste

A clear explanation of the necessity of non-freon alternatives based on the movements for freon measures in Japan and around the world, as well as the future schedule for freon reduction!

By 2050, the realization of a decarbonized society and the move towards carbon neutrality is becoming increasingly important as a management issue for companies, with the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. HFCs (hydrofluorocarbons), which are primarily used as refrigerants, are one type of greenhouse gas. They have a greenhouse effect hundreds to thousands of times greater than CO2, and their leakage is on the rise, leading to the establishment of a schedule for reducing production and consumption. This document introduces "the transition to non-fluorinated refrigerants" as an immediately actionable method for reducing greenhouse gas emissions. We encourage those interested to read it. [Contents (excerpt)] - Are fluorocarbons greenhouse gases? - What are non-fluorinated substances? - Global warming potential by refrigerant type - Low recovery rates of fluorocarbons - Increasing HFC emissions - Japan's unique measures against fluorocarbons - Global measures against fluorocarbons *The document can be viewed immediately via "PDF Download."
