Free membership registrationWe faced challenges in prototyping all components through machining considerations and in formulating cost reduction plans during the transition to mass production. As a solution, we introduced mechanical parts that attach to both ends of rollers guiding the fabric in the textile machinery (knitting machine). As a result, we reduced costs by changing the manufacturing method of the cam from "cutting" to "press punching." 【Benefits of Implementation】 ■ Cost reduction by changing the cam manufacturing method from "cutting" to "press punching" ■ Cost reduction by changing from welded assembly to press-fitting (press-fit strength adjusted by changing the fit and press-fit shape) ■ Cost reduction by changing surface treatment from "hammer tone" to "electro-galvanizing" *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWhen processing 4 axes at 4 locations (M4) with a tapping machine, we faced challenges such as "the setup takes too much time when machining with Fanuc for small lot production" and "only skilled workers can perform the tasks." Therefore, we conducted the tapping position layout using a general-purpose air cylinder. Previously, we relied on the intuition of skilled workers for positioning, but now even novice workers can perform the machining, reducing stress and fatigue during work. [Challenges] ■ When processing 4 axes at 4 locations (M4) with a tapping machine: - Due to small lot production, the setup takes too much time when machining with Fanuc. - The indexing layout device is expensive, making it unprofitable for small lot production. - Only skilled workers can perform the tasks. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationOur company offers proposals and process design for quality improvement and cost reduction through the transition from cutting to pressing methods. We have a track record of solving various issues for customers in industries such as industrial machinery, machine tools, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and construction components. ■ Customer's Challenge In the yarn feeding section of weaving machines (the area where the yarn and components come into contact), a buffing process is applied, but the angle of the buffing varies, leading to unstable quality. ■ Solution We shaped a smooth form through full shear processing and R-press processing, and then applied barrel processing for production. The results of a one-month running test at the customer's site were favorable. By eliminating the buffing process, we achieved the following: ◎ Lead time: Reduced by 50% ◎ Cost: Product unit price decreased by 5% We also have many other case studies available on our website. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationTypically, when machining holes smaller than the plate thickness, cutting processes were generally used. At Arikawa Manufacturing, we achieve small-diameter holes up to about 60% of the plate thickness using press processing, even under conditions where the hole position is close to the edge of the plate. While it is easy to produce parts with 100% shear surfaces using the FB (Fine Blanking) technique and specialized equipment, it can be costly. Arikawa Manufacturing has made it possible to achieve 100% shear surface production in a single press operation. The "thread feeding" part, which is critical for textile machinery components, requires a high level of precision in finishing. By designing molds that consider the finishing of 100% shear surfaces and the workpiece movement during R pressing, we have achieved a smooth shape that does not break the thread when it passes through. Traditionally, thick gears could only be made through machining, but now they can be produced through pressing with a finish of 100% shear surfaces, high dimensional accuracy molds for leaf punching and holes, and precise riveting technology (core misalignment tolerance of H8 or less). For more details, please contact us or refer to our catalog.
