The Apogee Cloudburst (heavy rain) weight-type rain gauge SE-SG-400 series is an all-weather rain gauge with no moving parts. It measures the weight of precipitation with a high-precision load cell built in. It calculates the corrected precipitation (rain, snow, sleet, hail) by compensating for the effects of temperature, evaporation, and vibrations from the wind. There are four models based on NWS and WMO standards, with and without a heater. (It is compatible with network SIM card loggers, allowing for real-time data monitoring and acquisition.) Senecum Co., Ltd. is the official distributor of Apogee in Japan.

The Apogee Guardian (Guardian) environmental control agriculture (CEA) smart agriculture monitor is a device that accurately measures important indoor environmental parameters. The SE-SM-500 is a data logger equipped with multiple sensors that measure PAR, temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, daily light integral and photoperiod, CO2 concentration, and vapor pressure deficit. Measurement data can be downloaded to a smartphone using the ApogeeConnect app (iOS/Android) via Modbus or Bluetooth. The Guardian can be suspended using a thin wire or mounted on a mast (SE-AM-270, coming soon).

The Lufft CHM15k ceilometer reliably detects multiple cloud layers and aerosols at altitudes from 5 meters to 15 kilometers using a backscatter method. It employs a 1M laser class and a highly sensitive optical sensor, allowing for accurate measurements both day and night. The measured data can be output in various formats, making it easy to integrate into existing systems. An optional analysis software is available, enabling instant visualization of the measurement data.

The presence of water in snow has a significant impact on its physical and mechanical properties. This measuring device, the snow moisture meter SE-WISe, provides highly accurate measurements and valuable information for various purposes, such as avalanche prediction, artificial snow analysis, and scientific research related to snow metamorphism, thanks to its compact design and ease of operation. Measurement principle: The snow moisture meter SE-WISe measures the snow moisture content within the sampler using a metal cylinder and electrodes. Based on the sensor's resonance frequency, it is converted to dielectric constant using a set function, and by combining the relative permittivity and snow density, the amount of liquid water is calculated. *Note that snow density needs to be calculated based on the snow within the sampler. This method has been validated against established calorimetric measurement techniques.

The TDR350 is a soil moisture, temperature, and EC measurement device that features a sensor mounted on the end of a shaft, allowing for measurements to be taken while standing. The data can be stored from multiple locations thanks to the built-in data logger function. The recorded data can be viewed on a map based on GPS information using a smartphone app (optional). Additionally, the device is equipped with a USB port, allowing data from the internal memory to be transferred to a PC via a USB flash drive (in CSV format). The sensor rods are available in four optional lengths: 3.8 cm, 7.5 cm, 12 cm, and 20 cm, and changing the rods is easy.

The SE-EP100 series multi-point depth profile probe is suitable for any soil type and features high precision, long lifespan, and maintenance-free sensors. The water level and flow rate on the upstream side of the throat section have a constant relationship, allowing for the measurement of the upstream water level to determine the flow rate. A key feature of this system is that it comes standard with an automatic azimuth correction function, eliminating the need to worry about the parking orientation of the vehicle when it arrives at the site. The Lufft ultrasonic wind direction and speed meter SE-8371UA01 is a compact, high-performance, maintenance-free device. It replaces traditional mechanical types (propeller type) and can measure starting wind speeds from 0 to a maximum of 90 m/s, with a built-in heater sensor capable of measuring in extreme cold environments down to -40°C. Additionally, real-time measurements are possible with our data loggers and original software.

The stem diameter change measurement sensor is a high-precision LVDT sensor designed to monitor minute fluctuations in stem diameter in the micron range. The growth of plants and water balance affect the daily behavior of stem diameter, and the growth rate depends on the vegetative stage and environmental conditions. Daily fluctuations mainly represent variations in the plant's moisture content, and two data points—daily contraction changes and daily maximum values—are used to measure the moisture status of the plant. The SE-SD-5M series sensor measures the impact of water supply balance frequency and environmental factors on plant growth.
