We would like to introduce a case study of the "bathtub handle" manufactured by Yoshikawa Co., Ltd., which designs, manufactures, and ships stainless steel products. The customer's request was to maintain the strength of the handle while reducing its weight. The challenge with conventional bathtub handles was that many were heavy due to being filled with metal. In response, we proposed using manufacturing techniques from Western tableware to create the handle parts by bonding them together. By adopting a hollow structure, we were able to achieve both strength and lightness.
