[Development Case] Power Consumption Monitoring HEMS System

The "HEMS System" has been adopted for monitoring the power consumption of the all-air conditioning system "Kikubari," which realizes barrier-free temperature control by Azbil Corporation. Using an iPad, the visualization of power consumption is achieved not only for power consumption itself but also by measuring various signals from wireless sensors, which are then visualized on the iPad via a server. Monitoring system for tunnel construction using wireless sensor networks.

This is a case study of a system that monitors and prevents collapses during tunnel construction. In tunnel excavation, it is necessary to continuously monitor information such as temperature, humidity, rock surface stress, and moisture content in unstable areas to ensure safer construction, quickly detect abnormalities, and take measures before accidents occur. Conventional methods required moving sensors and other equipment each time the excavation site changed, which limited the effectiveness of monitoring for safety relative to costs. This system uses a wireless network module (WSN) based on Zigbee to centrally manage and monitor strain data from various distributed locations over extended periods.
