We would like to introduce a case study on the production of "PES resin lenses." These lenses weigh half as much as existing glass lenses and allow for a high degree of freedom in shape and design. Our company has the technology to achieve ultra-thick molding of over 20mm from a flange as thin as 2mm without overmolding, and we also possess the technology to suppress sink marks in flat areas to 5μm even in ultra-thick molding. Nisshin Kogyo holds a patent for orientation control technology of fillers with anisotropy, which improves phenomena such as significant strength reduction at welds, distortion caused by uneven shrinkage, and color tone irregularities. This technology has effective cases against warping of molded products and is an important technology for our company. This case has improved the weld strength of long fiber reinforced resin test pieces to five times that of standard products. Our orientation control technology is applicable not only to long fiber reinforced resins but also to metallic colored resins, PP + talc-based materials, and other filler-added materials. We are currently also developing molding technology for materials added with CNF (cellulose nanofiber).

At Nisshin Kogyo, we are addressing various molding defects, such as color unevenness that tends to occur with high-brightness metallic resins, using our orientation control technology. We have successfully developed a technology that makes the "orientation phenomenon," which prominently occurs in metallic-colored resin molding, invisible from the surface of the molded product. This was developed as our unique technology without relying on materials, special equipment, or patents held by other companies. Currently, we are continuing to develop this technology to make it more versatile and establish it as a core technology. By utilizing this technology, it becomes possible to express a metallic appearance that previously relied on painting solely through molding, as well as reducing painting costs, solving the "peeling" problem, enabling resin recycling, and reducing environmental impact, among many other benefits.
