Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce the equipment "Sheet Metal" of Union Maeda Co., Ltd. By combining the three processes of "cutting, bending, and attaching," we transform steel plates into various shapes. We have two laser processing machines, three NC benders, two hydraulic brake presses, and two robotic welding machines, allowing us to handle a wide range from prototyping to mass production. We particularly specialize in products made from medium-thick plates with a thickness of approximately 3.2 to 6.0 mm, and our uniqueness lies in the complex processing that collaborates with other processes. 【Features】 ■ Capable of handling a wide range from prototyping to mass production ■ Particularly many products made from medium-thick plates with a thickness of approximately 3.2 to 6.0 mm ■ Uniqueness through complex processing that collaborates with other processes *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce the equipment "Press" of Union Maeda Co., Ltd. This process involves setting molds that correspond to various types of processing such as "cutting, drawing, forming, and bending," and processing steel plates using a press machine. With two lines, a 150-ton thin plate line and a 300-ton thick plate line equipped with a coil feeding device, it is possible to continuously perform blank (cutting) processing from coils. We own a 200-ton servo press, a 300-ton link motion press, and a 500-ton hydraulic press, and since other presses are also equipped with die cushions, we excel in processes such as drawing and forming. 【Features】 - The two lines, a 150-ton thin plate line and a 300-ton thick plate line, enable continuous blank (cutting) processing from coils. - Equipped with die cushions, we specialize in processes such as drawing and forming. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where Union Maeda Co., Ltd. manufactured the "bonnet" component for industrial equipment valves. The manufacturing process consists of 1. machining (small parts), 2. welding, and 3. machining (finishing). Due to significant challenges posed by welding distortion and deformation, we were able to overcome these issues by effectively combining our in-house welding technology and machining technology. [Case Overview (Partial)] ■Challenges - Significant impact from welding distortion and deformation ■Results - Overcame challenges by utilizing a combination of in-house welding technology and machining technology *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where Union Maeda Co., Ltd. manufactured a component called a "bracket" that supports the shaft of a truck. This is a very ambitious challenge to produce a complex welded structure from thick plates using integrated press molding. Ultimately, we succeeded in mass production with dimensional tolerances secured through a press method consisting of a total of 10 processes. 【Case Overview】 <Technical Elements> ■ Plastic processing through multiple processes of 4.5mm thick steel plates ■ Mold technology *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where Union Maeda Co., Ltd. manufactured a "V Pulley," a power transmission component utilizing V-belts. We proposed a method that included a design change from the customer's conventional method (a split pulley with a plate thickness of 3.2mm) to our method (roll forming with a plate thickness of 1.6mm). We suggested a shape that satisfies both our product specifications and the dimensions required by the customer, which was adopted. Our strength lies in providing a total proposal that includes processing of the boss, keyway and spline machining, welding, and surface treatment. [Case Overview] <Technical Elements> ■ Roll forming technology ■ Product design *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where our company manufactured "stiffeners" for truck bed pillar components. The customer's blanking process involved total punching with an NC turret punch, which resulted in poor material yield, high processing costs, and long lead times. In response, we designed and developed a mold that uses the material width of the coil as the product width, allowing the length of the product to be varied by changing the feed amount. As a result, we were able to accommodate all similar products with different lengths, significantly improve material yield, reduce processing costs, and offer solutions for shorter lead times. [Case Overview (Partial)] ■Challenges - The blanking process involves total punching with an NC turret punch, leading to poor material yield, high processing costs, and long lead times. - There are multiple similar products in the product lineup that only differ in length. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Free membership registrationWe would like to introduce a case where Union Maeda Co., Ltd. manufactured a "tube pipe" connector for exhaust lines of construction machinery. Since the press mold requires a significant investment for mass production, we first considered prototyping using a less costly method of draw forming. The 2mm thickness of the stainless steel plate posed challenges, but the prototype was successfully completed. Having cleared the testing and evaluation, we moved on to the mass production stage. We achieved good yield and succeeded in plastic processing with a low burden on subsequent processes. 【Case Overview】 <Technical Elements> ■ Forming by draw forming (prototype) ■ Press method and mold technology (mass production) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
