Matsui Painting Industry Co., Ltd. was founded in 1965 (Showa 40) in Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. At the time of its establishment, the company was engaged in the painting of caps for 35mm film produced by Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd. As this product transitioned to pre-coating, the company shifted to painting parts related to medical equipment, such as X-ray film developing machines. These devices consisted of housings, panels made of sheet metal, small parts, and components requiring putty, and although they were all metal parts, the painting methods varied subtly or significantly. Furthermore, alongside these medical devices, the company has also started to handle the painting of color photo printing equipment for newspapers, which has become commonplace today.
